History of Illarion

Dear Illarionites,

We have reworked the history pages. You can find the new pages here:

https://illarion.org/illarion/history/us_overview.php

We have included also the history of the land Illarion itself. You can still find the old history pages here:

https://illarion.org/illarion/background/us_overview.php

Enjoy!

Bugs, Proposals and Discord

Dear Illarionites,

We've changed the conduct concerning bugs and proposals. From now on, we would like to ask you to report bugs directly on the support forum:

https://illarion.org/community/forums/viewforum.php?f=3

Proposals should go to the proposal board, only:

https://illarion.org/community/forums/viewforum.php?f=94

The bug tracker Mantis will not be used for player reported bugs and proposals anymore. So you don't need an extra account to report bugs and proposals. Mantis will only be used for automatic bug reporting of the client. All existing tickets won't get deleted, no proposal will be lost.

Instead of using Mantis, we will pick up bugs and proposals from the forum and turn them into Github projects. This way, we can track issues much more closely to the actual game code and don't need to maintain another tool we found to be too inflexible for our purposes.

Furthermore, we set up a Discord server for connecting the community. Discord offers voice and text chat. You can join the Discord server using this link:

https://discord.gg/yj3htPN

You can of course keep using the Illarion IRC chat #illarion on Quakenet. Note that Quakenet and Discord are external services, coming with their own sets of rules.

Best regards,
Estralis

Update June 2018: Onionball, magic gems, and more!

Dear players,

Today's update brings some new elements into the game. Here are the most impotant changes:

  • There is now a referee NPC for onionball under the Blood Circle Arena in the desert. Enjoy throwing onions!
  • A signpost was added for the Malachin Temple.
  • The treasurer NPC in Cadomyr was moved closer to the donation platform.
  • The old slime feeding quest will now correctly ask for red head mushrooms not fir tree seedlings.
  • Lit camp fires now last twice as long.
  • Items obscuring quest carrots in cisterns have been removed.
  • While chopping trees, boughs are now found only in pine and fir trees. Boughs drop from these trees at a higher rate.
  • Various new priest NPCs populate Illarion.
  • Several monster names were corrected.
  • Filling glasses from bottles has been improved.
  • Some changes to seafaring were made, especially in case of pirate attacks.
  • Magical gems now have their own graphics to distinguish them from normal gems.
  • Various code cleanup was done, which won't be noticeable in game.

Have fun!

The server is working again

Hello,

The first bulk of updates is done. The server is working again, however it is required to update the client by hand again. To do so simply download the client again from the homepage. Once you do so the client will be able to update properly again.

Best regards,
Nitram
