Out of curiousity, what made Brágon return to Illarion? The histories have clearly stated he left Illarion--shouldn't it have been Malachin fighting Moshran?

It's more south-east. If you go down the tree-boulevard that leads south out of the main square of V, and then turn a little east you'll get to it.

I can't remember if the error message is the same at the moment, but check that you're facing the tree you want to chop. It may also still require you not to wear armor/weapons.

Your confusion may come from your misreading or mispelling of "Ogre Mountains" eg, a place a new, unskilled character might want to avoid.

Killing for fun ingame (and out of outgame) will get you branded as a crazy and you will be hunted down.

Why does a non-violent land need a cross?

The other stuff is easy, (well sheep not so much) but do you want a fountain or a well? Fountains are nice to look at, but I wasn't aware they were particularly useful.

It is more of a guide, one that is supposed to show you how Illarion's humans, elves, lizards, halflings, and dwarves act. This is to provide a sense of continuity and atmosphere to the game which it would not otherwise have. Some things I think always hold true: elves do not have nobility--no kings...

Just as a side note...the information used to be widely available. It was on a (now disappeared?) Illarion fan site and in the books ingame, for those with high library research skills. You don't ever level up. The stats you created you char with are the stats he keeps forever. Your skills in certain areas (crafting, fightin) do improve, though.
