onsieur d'Avareau, as he prefers to be called, is a man in the prime of life, of average height, and of urbane appearance and demeanour. Jet black hair, lush, lightly curling, and neatly coiffed, adorns his proud pate. His facial features are soft, and his skin smooth and fair, suggesting that this man is accustomed to a comfortable lifestyle, free of hardship and labour. He is clean-shaven save for a black, perfectly groomed goatee and pointy moustache, which stand in prominent contrast to his pale countenance, like strokes of ink on parchment, giving him his distinctive image. A pair of dark, hamlock-coloured eyes attentively survey all around him, and he greets it all with a subtle, ambiguous smile, making his inner thoughts hardly discernible.

He is dressed in reserved black from head to toe, but upon closer inspection one will find his clothes to be fashioned of the costliest fabrics and elaborately embroidered. A wide-brimmed, plumed hat shades him from the sun, and he carries a cane, not out of necessity, but as a fashionable accessory, as it is the style of the gentry in his land. His fine hands, unscarred by manual labour, are adorned by a single precious ring.

He is gifted with a silver tongue and a velvety voice, and his speech is eloquent and suave - an impeccable Common, as it is spoken in Salkamar, with a high class accent, hinting at an educated and affluent background. Occasionally he utters words and phrases in a foreign tongue, which is particular to his ancestral land, the region of Laris in the Salkamaerian Empire. His manners are at all times fittingly courteous, and he appears to be keenly interested in a great many subjects.
