My fellow Varshikari, As there have been no objections to my taking the post of Leader of the town, I will assume there are none, and so I will take the full post instead of simply 'Acting Leader'. Toward this end, I will also take a Deputy, one Gryphius Messerzunge. Congratulations again, Gryphius....

Alexander Rothman~ I must write something different from most people who have left you notes here. I must write a thank you. You have done something that I have not seen in a very long time. You have caused the island of Gobiath, all the myriad factions and towns and sects, to draw together as one t...

It may suck as much, but it isn't as much against the rules ;) But really... and this goes out to everyone, not any one person in particular... moaning about 'you did this' and 'but you did that!' can really scare people away from this game. That has become the focus of these boards... whereas withi...

Dusty~ You are indeed an amazing halfling. You hear of a need and almost immediately you step forward to see that the need is filled. I look forward to attending your workshop if I am able at that time; and despite being a member of the guild, I will pay the fee to see the materials covered. ~Maggie...

It wouldn't be too hard (since this idea seems not to be overly popular) to create a simple guild, something along the lines of the Gobiath Merchants Association. The only purpose of this guild would be to help promote the businesses and skills of the people of Gobiath. No controls, no demands of lo...

Alex... I have played online, on various sites and boards and chatrooms and whatnot, for over fourteen years. For the majority of those, Illarion didn't exist, and let alone had I heard of it. Is my 'way of rping' mutually exclusive to Illarion? Hardly, it was a dream come true for me. Did it take a...

Just to interject a thought... You said you were at 'the mummy house'. I assume this means you were probably at the ruins north of the castle, and had probably been fighting said mummies. Some of the mummies have poisoned daggers. If you went AFK right after having fought them, already low on hitpoi...

I fully agree on the matter of Darlok. He's a player character now, with all the assets he gained as a quest character (which, I might note, had since been in the posession of another group). Which means there is a single player character in command of a castle that dwarfs all other guild structures...

Disappearing items when going to spin?
I just went to spin some cloth from wool balls. I spun the wool into yarn with no trouble. However, when I went to put the yarn into my hand to spin it into cloth, the axe in my other hand disappeared. I tried afterwards with a single copper, but that didn't disappear. Any ideas what happened?

You only need to make one thread for one problem. I didn't mean for you to stop *posting*, just stop making multiple posts for the same problem. And I posted that when you did, not some random time later. And I didn't mean to be rude, I am sorry for that. I've been a bit short with people the last f...

I agree with Samantha to a point, except for a few things... If you are going to do it, I would say allow two in each group, not one. Two that can reach the highest, two that can reach about decent, and the rest can only get to the very most basic levels (maybe 10/100). The only problem is finding s...

Samantha hit the nail on the head. As I said in my earlier post, it is simply impossible to afford the materials needed until you are a fairly high level. You *have* to gather them yourself. If you want to discourage that, raise the prices paid for crafted items. (And yes, I know the idea is for peo...

Of course, having such info available (which would be *wonderful*) does not change the underlying imbalance between the weapons forms. Saying different forms favor different balances in stats only goes so far. High-end slashing weapons still do more damage than the comparable high-end concussion wea...

I tentatively agree with Moathia, but for slightly different reasons. Mainly, with as many steps and things that are involved in making anything right now, it is *very* difficult to earn any kind of profit. The in-game prices evolved in a time where, as she said, all you needed to make green cloth w...

Just as an aside (because I certainly wouldn't want to interrupt the p***ing contest..) I don't think Taylor was saying 'there are NO evil Necromancers'. Of course there are evil Necromancers. Just as there are evil Elementalists. But I think his point was that *Necromancy is not evil in and of itse...
