Plates
Go into your kitchen( or where ever you keep your plates) and try putting one on top of the other.. is it possible? yes! should it be in the game? yes! so why isn't it???
Before you continue this bludgeoning on the staff, I recall why it is the way it is. They needed a tool to make it so herbs are stackable. They were in the proccess of making a basket, but due to the way things are implimented, it wouldn't have made it in a timely fashion. Instead, they used plates, and then plates became unstackable. It is a temporary solution. Relax.

The script is written in lua, there's documentation for the illarion script if you look for it, martin (I think) wrote a really good document.Tanistian_Kanea wrote:ummm... just out of curiosity here... but could i actually see what the script looks like? and what program is needed to edit it?
And you can use any program which formats plain text to edit it - such as notepad. I use notepad++ which is free.
To make the change all you'd need is 2 database changes and a copy-paste from one scipt to the other.

Basically what a script does is decide what happens when a player interacts with an item - whether its using it, or clicking on it et cetera.
Stuff like how much items weigh, whether they stack, repairs et cetera are stored in the database, only Nitram (and the rest of the upper brass) have access to that.
If you want to become a scripter -find martin's documentation, then when you're confident talk to Nitram - he'll give you a very very easy test, and BAM a scripter is you.
