A new type of character!

Post by Eywulf »

Hi every1 i think there should be a minotaur ~i think like 99.9% of you know what they are~ because there are chars with equal defense and attack but minotaurs are very powewerful so they would have a weak defence so this would be good for power crazy players ...may be only me who thinks so but please try to make a minotaur char ...tnx Eywulf

Minotaurs... interesting. Aren't Minotaurs quite stupid, well not for fighting per se, but as for having a spoken language and such. Where would they be from? Why would there be more than one, they wouldn't have a government, wouldn't they eat each other? Why did they come to Troll's Bane? Personally I think we could make up SOMETHING to fit it in, but think about it. Is it plausable that there is a group of Minotaurs that show up in Trolls bane and want to live peacefully? I don't think so, I'm sure many agree. But the same was said for Drow, ("there will never be Drow! Give up!") and look at it now, they're not playable but there ARE drow. Just be patient, PM the GMs and think up some kind of story to add them..... .but.... well why not get accepted and PLAY the game before you try to CHANGE the game?

[[Also your first post says something about "power crazy characters". I'd like you to go back to the main page and read the opening paragraph:
This game is not about levelling up or hunting monsters.
That answer your question?]]

I though drows would be made...maybe even playable. But minotaurs MAY be made as monsters...I dont think playable.

Minotaurs are an intelligent race from my recollection. But according to the website and lookings. Minotaurs are not of the same fantasy as Illarion. You're looking more into mythological I believe. Sorry, they just simply would not fit into the game.

Edit:
@Dom
Minotaurs, if a lone race, would most likely work in clan systems like the orcs work. They would be very similar to orcs. Very. No government, there you are right.

I think elves would be more Old English... like... Anglo/Saxon? I can only think of one Minotaur in mythology, and he was in a maze specifically there to EAT people. His brainpower I don't think ever came into play. And they would fit in Illarion as well as the word "Hi" which many people tend to use... My point being, it doesn't have to exactly fit for people to accept it.

No no no, start small. Ask for a mule, then ask for it to be rideable. Then in a couple of weeks ask for a Llama, then a horse. Then a Nightmare/Unicorn quest. Then ask for a ridable bird.. like a GIANT condor or maybe a griffon, then put them together in paint, send it in and ask for a Pegasus. *Laughs to himself* I get what you're saying Kasume, I just wanted to point out that not everything fits as well as some people would like.

Well our opinion means little, it's up to the GMs. Maybe Greek mythology turns THEM on... Gotta love that terminology.

The Gms try not to let their characters leak out. That is so no one bothers them ingame. I know Arien plays, or used too. Damien does. I think Martin has several hidden ones. And I can't think of other Gms...

Hi little 1 i think there should be guinea pigs ~i think like 99.9% of you know what they are~ because there are chars with stupid players who can't read nor write but guinea pigs are very witty so they have basic knowledge of language so this would be good for power crazy players like eywulf ...may be only him who thinks that he has great ideas but please try to play a guinea pig ...tnx
