Map at the bottom of the screen

Post by Dair Essel »

I dont know about any of you but I think of it as a type of memory of where I have been. So I was thinking that since it basically is a sort of memory areas you havent been to for a long time start to get blacked out again. Because a person from northrot isnt going to be able to find his way around Greenbrair if he only visited it once or twice, they would forget.

Also with the higher Intellegence the character has the longer its going to take for that memory to start to go blank. Say a person with 1 intelligence isnt going to remeber as much as a person with 19.

ps. I have no clue how many lines of code this would take to accomplish so I dont expect even if it is accepted to be done any time soon.

pss. Constructive criticism only please. If you think its a bad idea tell why dont just say. This Idea sucks, or something along that line

I think there should be a big map that takes up the whole screen when you bring it up. It doesn't show where you are but it is more detailed

Aaron that wouldnt work because while your looking at the map to figure out where you are and if your being chased, the person chasing you would kill you while your whole entire screen is taken up by the map. I think the small map is working well, just maybe a few changes might make it a bit more realistic.

Also if there was to be a big map, you would have to buy it from a map maker so it would be an item. That way you still have your memory but a detailed map along with it

That map wouldn't have a memory...the whole island would be shown. And I don't know if you have time ot look at a map when being chased so the one in the corner has a bit of bad rp.

At the moment I find the map to be rather unuseful. The island is so small that you can't get lost.

Yes it does help orientation alot since the world is Isometric, north/south/east/west are hard to get used to if you haven't played an isometric game.
