Introduction to Illarion - For new players
I have made a short introduction to Illarion like I said on the Proposal Board, I hope it can teach the new players how to act and show them a bit about the game. It is in flash format, and about 30kb, so not too bad. If there is any problems with some of the wording or other stuff, feel free to post it here. Hope you like it!

Astral! you have outdone yourself, I read it all and it was really quite small, if you and the dev team allow, I think this should be included in the next .zip build file!

Very good. Very good points.

I wouldn't say things like "druids don't need any key attribute". People should pick the stats that they feel their character needs. A sentence like the example tells them: "You don't need it, don't waste your points there.". As often pointed out: stats can get or loose an effect every day, so choose the stats not because you know how the game system works, but because you thing its part of you character to be intelligent, dumb, quick or whatever.

I added a line that points out that it could change any time, but I can't think of much else to say, unless we have a hint on what druids will require...
Introduction to Illarion
the point is: they do not require anything.
you should distribute yout attributes in a way that fit to the personality of your character. you shouldn't maximize your abilty to do X as a Y (e.g. druid) by choosing your skills that way.

Good Work! But someone has to create a german version...
Introduction to Illarion
If someone can send me the translation, I can put it in German.
@martin:
I am not saying that you shouldn't do that, I am just saying that mages need intelligence, warriors need strength, etc. I believe it says that in the tutorial as well. If druids don't require any specific attributes, people creating a druid character will use the attribute points how they want their character to be. The advice I gave is just to give people something to consider.

I agree, this guide is just giving helpful hints and seggesstions. It is not forcing anyone to do anything. If a mage wants to put his Int. low that's fine, all the guide is doing is seggesting a higher Int. and so on.
