Container creation for Galmair
It is a source of annoyance that Galmarians have to go to other towns and pay a gold coin to craft simple things such as bags,
Why cant our carpenters and smiths create containers that work like bags?
Iron bound chests for smiths & wooden boxes for the carpenter, both ghraphic's exist in game how hard would it be to
have these items work just like ordinary bags so that one can store them in our depots ?Just to hold goods, we dont even
have to be able to use em like carry bags just for storage space in our depot.
An could we also have the languages and reading skills back at some stage please?.

Re: Container creation fo Galmair
Picnic baskets used to be dropped from trees.. haven't seen one for awhile but would be nice for a carpenter to make.

Re: Container creation fo Galmair
Yes i know ,but that dont help much for smiths and such who dont got picking herbs ,besides its very random so not helpful if you want to buy a container
in Galmair.
We have the graphic's for boxes and chests,we have the script or whatever it is for normal bags and baskets why cant something be done here with this to allow carpenters and smiths to make a container?

its one of the basic concepts that no town is self-sufficient and need to trade withe the other towns. You are forced to trade, yes.
Re: Container creation fo Galmair
What I don't understand is why a person can't buy a leather bag from an NPC. I've looked in every town. Never found one I could buy. Was forced to make them myself or hunt down someone in game that might be able to make them for me. Neither of which were great options for the RP of my character.
Re: Container creation fo Galmair
Bags are basic items. They should be buyable.
Re: Container creation fo Galmair
One of the greatest moments i had IG since the VBU was when i received my first container (a basket) beside the basic bag. For a non-butcher/tanner/tailor a big deal, if i want it THAT way.
The question here is whether attempting to enforce roleplay / interaction by keeping the bag not for sale?
I also thought about suggesting the removal of the name tags on bags, yet did not so after some thinking about industrious chars, trading between factions, the locations of pig spawns and certain herbs...
Ha! I have the solution! (against bags buyable)
Bags may be basic items, yet the need to receive a SECOND bag is of medium to long term nature (the time to fill about 40%-60% slots of a chest kept tidy).
As it is no short term need, it should fully affect any plot.
A bag does not decay.
Bag to topic; Indeed. A little some more heavy carryable containers could always be nice. Some quite interesting ideas for dwarven games slumber in this proposal.
Imagine the special edition of forged chests "Don`s Forgiveness" with a foot shackle attached to one side and a chisel on a chain to the other.

you´re against buyable bags
Re: Container creation for Galmair
I doubt very much if the manifacture of boxes and chest by carpenters and smiths will inpact in any negative way ,infact i think it will enhance things .I think from a players point of veiw it would be quite nice to keep your coins and valuables in a iron bound chest and all your fresh vege's , irons ore etc in boxes ,clothing in bags etc etc....
Illarion used to be about the little things besides roleplaying ,thats what attracted me anyway. We seem to have lost so much of that ,this is just an idea to add a little back and solve container availability for Galmair in particular but not exclusively.
