waterwheel

Post by Gro'bul »

a waterwheel that might be used for a sawmill someday maybe to turn logs into boards and process them from there.

a water wheel would go along the side of a river, not across, put it that way and it will probably look alot nicer =D

As far as I know, there exists allready a grafic for a waterwheel. Neon showed me something like this.

And if I am right, there is a technically problem with things, bigger than one groundsqare. So your wheel has to be cut in tiles, using only one square each (like the walls also are single tiles standing each on one square).

1) I don't think it looks awesome. It lacks textures, there is one placed on it, placed is too much, it is MISplaced on it. You don't know about texturing objects. That's a very difficult thing, use google to improve your skills. Furthermore it lacks details and therefore it looks boring. Just big, brown, unstructured areas.
2) Items and such things do not have to be cut into pieces. The client can handle bigger things as well. But that's not the problem here.

Thanks martin for correcting me ... than it was about persons, using two squares like dragons, what I mixed.

I have found the topic, where the wheel can be seen:

well martin the i have a very good water texture but unfortunately it doesnt go with the water in-game. i was thinking it would be hooked on to the side of a building therefor you probobly couldnt even see the whole thing.but neonfire's is much better anyways.

I was not talking about the water, but about the wheel.
