beer :)Mmmm
i made some graphics for beer and a beer glass. i thought beer glass could be a new glass blowing item, and you could use grain with the fermenting barrel, let it sit for oh say 10min? then you could get like one glass of beer for every like 5 grain? this would be sweetness, and im sure all the dwarfs on our island would go for it as well
:D

I see only one problem with the graphics. That is, the background they are on. Glass is often partially transparent, but Illarion graphics are not (to my knowledge). So while the glass may look nice now, put it on a lighter background and it will be ugly. Something like the potion bottles would be very good.

From what i have read in the graphic faq. ( and understood
) that it is as follows from the page.
Anything you wish not to appear in the game (i.e. the surrounding space of an item), should be of the colour pink. precisely: RGB 255 0 255. This is because the server will see that particular colour as "invisible". For example, a sword graphic should be surrounded by that precise colour, to avoid any colours appearing around the graphic. Be aware that any smearing or blur effects will change these colour settings, so do check before you send us your graphics. This also applies to lines and resizes, if you use anti aliasing.
Hope this helps.

thinking
maybe....err...umm well...hmm
maybe i could just make the glass solid grayish and make it a top veiw so you can see the beer in the mug with only a little bit of bubbly stuff?
and o yes if your wondering how i planned on making beer stick some grain and water in the fermenting barrel then let it sit for around 15min and then use it again to fill your glassblown mugs with beer (was thinking 2grain and a bucket of water per glass of beer) you could make this not able to fail or tie it in with peasantry because there isnt enough things to do if your going to make a brewery skill.

glass is pretty hard to make, as you have to work it over manually alot.
best solution might be, to render it against a light-gray background and than manually replace all pixels, that are background or near background-color to pink.
if you want to see the problem of rendering glass against a pink background, have a look at the somewhat ugly glass that is in the game.....

Nowadays it's just stabbing someone with a broken bottle and saying "stitch this jimmy".
But getting back to the topic ... There needs to be TWO graphics for this, an empty glass, and a glass. And also another problem that exists is that if it was like drinking potion from a bottle, the glass would dissapear, thats a bummer.

I wouldn't recommend doing the every odd pixel thing, it doesn't give a very nice effect. The pixels are too large and won't blend together to give the "partially transparent" touch.
@Galdriel:
I think the glass in the game is pretty nice, at least it looks like glass (which is more than I can say for glass objects I have found in other games).
