I have made a newer version of the banner I previously made, and I added a more 'rustic' look.  Maybe someone likes the rustic look opposed to the rich look.  It seems more fitting.

@Alamar:
I like number four, but I am not sure it really fits in a middle-age environment...

If you will be around for a while and  want to re-join the Rangers, let me know.

I would still pick Astral's because his is more in the time period. (yorus is to modern Alamar.)

I just saw the Ranger Guide (Korwin messaged me) and I will use my 9 authority points (if the system is already implemented) to vote that we SHOULD use it.  I must also meet with one of the High Council to ask them if I resolved a conflict correctly.

Yes I sent it to everyone(except Fulige because I couldn't figure out what his name was exactly). However it is nowhere near complete. That is only the first part. I also sent it to everyone instead of posting it because criminals could use it to "beat the system" in a way.

Hello dearest Rangers,
I read the Ranger Guide and I have to say that , I was mostly dealing with "bad situations" in that way. I vote also for this Guide. Thats the way we should deal with the most conflicts.

I meant with an applicant to the RAnger Guild today, Exoru.  Luckily for both of us he spoke English.  I did an interview with him and I believe that he would be a good member.  I will message the High Council on this.

I loved Korwin's guide. I tink it is one of the better ideas thought up for the Rangers and I also vote on it.

@Korwin if it is ok with you I would like to add a Ranger Diplomacy section to it some time but that is up to you.

After finally getting my internet working properly, I have uploaded the new versions of some of the pages (no, no major changes).  Authority is now listed on the members page, and some of the details of the quests have been changed (making them harder), and a new Master Druid quest has been added.

@Nilanooniel:
We'll all try to be there :)

Good job, Korwin with the guide. It needs only litle refinement and is ready :)
I don't agree with you about that keeping it secret will help to apply policyes better, instead post it in the RPG board and everey one to know what we will enforce, what is forbidden and what is the penality. Also in every one case when things must be solved with force write bolded - "Look around and find another Ranger!"

I believe there is a grave problem with our guild.  The problem, as I see it is that we do not have enough communication between each other, I do not know half the people in our guild.  I think we can improve this by a couple of ways:

1) Have a 1-2 week aprenticeship where an elder member of the Rangers gets to show and know a person trying to get into our guild.  This person would not know anything about the Ranger Guide until they are fully accepted

2) We have a Ranger Get together where all Rangers are invited and we get to speak and know each other, hopefully improving communication.

As it is, most Rangers do not speak to each other unless it is "Ranger Business".  Also, some people might join the Rangers not because they want to help make peace and protect the forest and Troll's Bane but because they want to be part of a well known guild.

Thanks to my 3 good friends who helped me out.

I think a ranger "get-together" is an excellent idea.

Greetings rangers, we all know that we want a nice structure when it is available. So, I think we should make several designs for what it should look like. Please post your ideas here! Eventually we will have a vote to see which one we will use, so get collecting those authority points!

PS: Would it be too much to ask for The High Counccils authority to be boosted to 50 each? At the present moment Rangers can actually get more points than us just for taking all the tests.

PPS: Roke has donated 35 ingots and has recieved a merit.

Well Since none of the HC have announced this I will:

The Rangers Have gained a new member, the lizardman Exoru.  He is a great thinker and will help us in the future.  Korwin, Inioch Hope, Exoru and I got together for a thinking meeting on how to improve the Rangers and the members within.  Several ideas were discussed and someone will fill Astral in before the HC decides what to do.  Although it may seem that I am ina  position of power in the Rangers I am really not, just filling in some things and helping the guild.  Thanks everyone.

I belive that this is a vote the requires all of the guild to vote. I think 5 days is long enough to get your votes in. Also please state your reason for your disition. I however will not vote yet.
Thanks

News and Announcements:

- Alamar has reached the title of Experienced Ranger

@Roke:
We don't want members who just 'want to join a well known guild' we only want members who want to join because we like the principles.

@Astral: I know, that is what I want too.  I donated 35 ingots and Korwin says I gained a point or something.  I would also appreciate help planning a Ranger get-together

@Korwin: I would like help from you too with the Rnager get together :wink:

@Alamar Where do you log on/off Last night I went through town searching for you but could not find you (I was yelling your name)

I vote not to accept Mannelig because he has violent tendencies that do not fit the Rangers.  Also, I have a feeling he would bring us into war and tarnish our reputaion because of his reputation.  I vote this not because I do not like mannelig personally but because I have the best interests of the Rangers in mind.

"I vote this becuase I do not like mannelig but I have the best interests of the rangers in mind"

If you voted becuase you had best interest, you would NOt have added a personal oppinion, Needless to Remind you, Every war I have ever fought was either won, or ended peacefully. I will not have the power to cuase wars, thus your vote is flawed from the start. All I ask is to make my service sof worthwhile to the Rangers, and in turn recieve protection so That conflicts will not be cuased by or against me no longer. I can accept your "no" there is more rangers left to vote yet. I bid you gooday.

I've whipped up a simple little design for a guildhouse, hopefully this will encourage more people to come up with designs!

This would cost roughly 400-550 ingots I believe. We could add furniture once the structure was built.

Why would we want to make a new topic?  As stated before this allows people to look over the history of the Rangers without going topic hunting

@mannelig My point is you have been in too many wars for comfort, and I do not care how they ended.  I also believe you have too many violent tendencies.

Korwin the Design looks great.  The Basement could be our "Meeting area".

Roke, you only know of a small piece of my history, the only real conflict you've seen was the one ended in PEACE between me and Alun Terod. How would you know my violent tendencies? you've barely met me four times, two of which were hostile. Perhaps you should ask others first? I do not have time to argue about this.
@ the rest of the rangers, I'm willing to be tested and observed, or give a little bit of my knowledge for evaluation.
@korwin
Nice house, but you could add a box to the asement...otherwise remove it, its not nessecery to have a ladder to an empty roof either....otherwise, its very very nice.

As mentioned earlier this is only the basic structure. If and when we manage to build it we will furnish it. It never hurts to have a bit of extra space. I was thinking the basement would act as the meeting area like Roke said.

PS: Safun has the title of Experienced Ranger
