<3 days. Usually, until someone has the time to check the names. Can take seconds, minutes, hours or days. Usually, it does not take days, just wait patiently.

Wrong. The names are checked as soon as a team member has time for it. He / she won't check the boards first to look who posted his name here. "Ah, I read his post, I will accept him now. That other guy did not post, well, bad luck, maybe tomorrow..." Not our style

It seems like it's going to be the other way around for me. Instead of the name check taking a few minutes my account was accepted around a few minutes to a hour and I've been waiting a few hours for my name to be accepted.
Hmm.. I dont know were 'guthix' got her/his name, but it is the name of the God of Balance off Runescape. - just a notice.

They would not accept Link( no not the stupid nintendo freak) Link the high mage!!!!!!!! OMG he is my RP Char how could they reject him?
btw he is very upset about that!
Why did Nintendo have to defile my name!!!!!
The word "link" is also a common English noun. It's also not the fault of the ones doing accounts if you happened to pick such a name that is already incredibly famous in the public gaming world.

No I cannot Forgive Nintendo for such desecration of my name!
Maybe if I gave him a last name and an origin?
Link Sparhawk of Eginea?

It still would not help you, I'm afraid. The "Link" isn't changed, and worse is that Sparhawk is the name of a character from David Edding's fantasy series The Belgariad/The Mallorean. Part of roleplaying is that you should be able to come up with an original name of your own.

Your chances of getting through a rather slim, I guess.
It's probably only too much because you're exaggerating the problem. If you would go sit down to take some time and think of a name, everything would be okay. It only takes a few minutes of patience and (gasp!) creativity. Link Sparhawk is definitely not an acceptable name, so try again.
