Melting smithed goods into ore / Metallware einschmelzen
i just thought it would be a great to have the possibility to melt metal goods back into ore (or iron in the future). for example, a dagger from the mummies could be melted into one ore. or 2 or 4 daggers into one ore. that could be a possibility to sell the daggers and other stuff from monsters not just to eliza, but to smiths too. of course ya could do that with wooden stuff, or tailored stuff too. recicle it. thats my idea. what do ya guys think?

I have to agree on the metal items, but not on wood, as it cannot be converted to liquid form and back again. It would be possible to make say, a spoon, from the handle of a mace or something like that. But that is size oriented. You can't make the wood bigger, only smaller. Wood also has a tendency to decay MUCH faster than metal items. Care of said items could be added to the item uses, but I imagine that would be time consuming and complicated.

Whats the point? I mean, its not like its sooo terribly hard to buy ore anyways.
AND this would bring more "powergamers" with the skills... ie people would make shields, then melt the ores, amke more shields, mel tthe ores........etc without even getting more ore..
No, this is not a good idea, sorry galim.

1. Powergamer can easily gain their skill by mining and smithing. Why should they melt ore, make shields, melt the ore again..... just to get the same effect.Nilo wrote:AND this would bring more "powergamers" with the skills... ie people would make shields, then melt the ores, amke more shields, mel tthe ores........etc without even getting more ore..
2. Why not make that melting feature without skillgain?

nilo wanted to say that the powergamers could use the same ore for the same dagger, melt it, and make a dagger again. without never have the need to get new ore. but if this will be realized, ya will need two ore three daggers for one ore. that would stop such a behaviour. and because ya would need coal to melt them, ya would need more coal for smithing.

I like this idea. Also IMO if bottles were to be reused it should be with mana potions only...although the roleplay is a little off, tehre lots of things like that....If Mana potions were reused the market would flow, Druids would sell Mana potions to Mages, Mages would sell the bottles back for less for a small refund on there bottles, the Druid could make the bottles into mana potions again.

how about all bottles are recycleable but they have to be re glassblown .
a used bottle would count as a quartsts sand and a ash .
and make it so that 2 ysed bottles are used when makeing a new bottle . that would make them about the same cost as origanal botttles and could keep the glassblowers in buisness .

How about you start a new topic instead of throwing this one off topic?
Anyhow, metal things should be able to be reforged, but the wood parts would be useless. Maybe they could be reforged into a billot, or basically ingot. Then you could reuse them when you needed to. People going around picking up scrap metal would not be uncommon, heck even today people do it for a living. What are junkyards for?
