Do any of the rest of you EGH find that it takes about ten minutes for a post to load on the private board. I'd post this complaint on ours...but it would take too long. Maybe we should delete some spammy stuff from the time of the Bummy and Rosa flame war.

I'll take care of the RPG board, if the site speeds up..

A ripped paper is posted under the last posts of the Evergreen Halflings board. It looks old and dirty. The paper reads:

Dear Evergreens,
Me and a friend wish to join your guild. We were once slaves by an orc and we escaped, but he is searching for us so I cannot write my real name here, for our safety, but I will tell you my real name once we meet if you do not tell anyone that is non halfling. We wish to join so we can live at peace once again with our fellow halflings and be happy, like we were years and years ago before the orcs slaughtered our people and took us prisoners. Where can we meet you, and when?

That is right.

The joining method has changed as well.
Halflings who wish to join should leave a message here.

A councilor will meet with the halfling and ask him/her some questions. The council will then begin to vote on whether the halfling is accepted or not.

If a halfling is accepted, they will begin a trial period (which is currently set for a month, but it may be lowered). During the trial period, the halfling will have access to Greenbriar. After the trial period, if no councilor disagrees, the halfling will become a member and citizen of Greenbriar.

Our new members should stop by the guildhouse (http://eghalflings.port5.com/news.shtml) and sign their names to the guild board, if you have not already.

Also, make sure you have filled out a membership card to be displayed in the guildhouse ((That would be your character description.))
