The rudeness of the orcs lately. They just tell you to get out of your way, and spit in your face when you don't. Are they truly that stupid and respectless?
Re: Rudeness
Why don't you just get out of their way then?Misjbar wrote:They just tell you to get out of your way, and spit in your face when you don't.

Misjbar,
There are orcs who are honorable, my friend. One has not even to look far to see orcs with honor. Look to Gurik Elvenstar or Kaja Wolfagen (who, sadly, has left the isle for a time.)
Gurik may have the teeth and skin of an orc, but I assure you that he has the intelligence of a wise old elf, the soul of a priest, and the industriousness of a dwarven smith.
Kaja has been like an uncle to me. When I was new to the island, he took me in. He gave me direction. Even though he talked in the dialect of orcs, his eyes showed great wisdom--wisdom that usually comes with age, but to him it was innate.
The problem is not the orcs, friend; it is your perception of what is and is not disrespect. I mean no cruelty. The orcs come from a differant culture--a differant upbringing. This culture throws away the mask of custom and ettiquette in order to live as they truly are--free and without restraint. This, alone, deserves respect.

Orcs respect the power of weapons. Most of them only understand that language, except for a few.
I once was surrounded by three orcs, and they urinated on me, messing up my shoes.
It was their luck, that at that time, every third bone in my body was broken, otherwise, they would eat those shoes of mine...

Thank you Gurik and Urii, for showing me I was wrong.
Sincerely

Wise words Urii, and I might understand now. I will show them more respect, but you must admit there are orcs that actually are disrespectfull just because I'm an elf, and that is one thing I don't respect.Urii Vandos wrote:The problem is not the orcs, friend; it is your perception of what is and is not disrespect. Misjbar,
Aye, but there are bad seeds in all races. The hands of the human race are stained with the blood of only the minority among us. This goes without saying for all others.
It is sad that you could not have met Kaja before he left. It brings a tear to my eye to know that he is gone.
Nonetheless, I do understand that there can sometimes be bitter rivalries between races. This is sad, but I am sure that the majority of Orcs will go no farther than, perhaps, calling you "long ear."

What is it with orcs and halfbreeding? These two orcs were trying to court Fooser and myself today. Imagine what freakish creatures would be produced. Not so much a human and orc cross-breeds, but an orc and a lizardman! I tried convincing them that I am too young, being only fifteen and all... Orcs are just strange creatures. I don't think they have bad intentions, just bad ideas.
