Build a bridge

Post by Falantine »

I have seen many Farmers having to walk a longer route to there farmfield across the small river :( ,if we could build a bridge"Expense paid by me" to bypass the river,it would save time for those tired farmers.if this proposals is granted,we could find some architect to build the bridge,i heard there is some architect around illarione right now.

that would be nice to have a bridge. because you do have to walk a long way to get to the fields.

Oh why do you even worrie about monster attacks it's the same every time, people go to the gates get ready but then there's those same few who tell you to hold your ground and wait till the come to you, mean while the sneak off while you not paying attaion, kill the monsters (along with dieing many times) and get all the glory, so as long as those few are online it doesn't matter

Oh and Falantine not a bad idea at all I always thought there need to be a bridge there anyways (you are talking about the spot where there's the mill then the river then the farm land on the other side right?)

Hmm forgoten we are in a RPG !It would be very stupid do build a huge wall around the town and then bulid a brigde so the enemies can easeli walk inside. We are in a world of a fantasymiddelages nobody ,who trie to defend his town, would let his enemys only a littel path to entrie the town only because some players are to lazy to go the long way.Maybe a half or more (i think more) jears ago there were no bridge beetwen the tavern and the other side so you must have to walk under the libary or around to the swamp so don't complain.

A bridge is not much harder to defend than a gate.

Pellandria, there is no monster to be seen around the farmfield right now,it should be safe to put a bridge there, anyway why should you walk a longer route when you could bypass the river with a bridge? :? If this game is base on logical, building a bridge there is not a problem, other then that it will boost the productivity of vegtable that is constantly needed by the citizen of illarion,it will also led more people to farm for themselves creating a problem for those farmer because of mass competition and making them to lower there vegtable value

Tell me 6 good reasons why there should be a bridge and we can talk.
Only because you are a lazy guy we should build a bridge and don't tell me the townfolks buy so much things from you of its only that you can grow you vegitabels faster and can go faster to Eliza and don't say this is wrong.
Maybe i'm the wrong times online ,but i never hear somebody screaming for fodd, they only going to the next appel tree and they have the food.
And maybe it is planned that the farmfield is outside or seeing any farmfield inside of the town?
Anytime thinked of the live of the farmers in the middelages? Damm they have a really bad living ,but in illarion the vegetabels grow faster and you need no booster (don't know the really word for it) for the fields fisrt think then writte.

Fertilizer is the word your thinking of. Yes farms are not found inside towns, that is why they are outside the wall.

That isn`t true! There are small areas of farmland inside of town.

Maybe you should check the garden....or other places inside of the townwall?

But i agree with you. there isn`t enough farmland inside of town.
Maybe we can organize that some more soil will put in the garden?

this should be discussed ingame...

*lock*

-remembers he isn't a GM

...

Still, this should be talked ingame. Perhaps over a cup of ale in the tavern? It isn't technically, discuss ingame and then talk to a Lyrenzia rep.

This is a roleplaying game, you act like the game is real life.

In real life, people wouldnt really care about walking a few extra steps to get to the farmland.

In real life, you could find one of your friends and get them to help you. You could toss the things you farmed over the river, and then walk around the wall into town and pick them up. (That could also create more jobs in game)

In real life, people would rather have 3 ways for monsters to get in to their town than 4, that way they would have a better chance of fighting them off, because their army is not as split up.

In real life, people wouldn't complain about having to walk a few extra feet, because they will get to rest while they watch their plants.

Why don''t you tell Tevye that? People always try to simplify their jobs, whether that be to invent computers or make a bridge to get to farmland quicker. Wouldn't you rather save energy for the work instead of wasting it all getting there?

In real life,i would like to spend more time in the tavern drinking and enjoying myself to the end of life then spending it in the hot sweaty sun, that's why we should build a bridge.

In real life,i would like to use more of my brains then my brawns, that's why we should build a bridge to stand to our standard as being called a Human Being, not chimpanzi.

And in the Real life, building a bridge to To do things better and faster is the right choice, otherwise call yourself a Eccentric Primate.

But Falantine, you are thinking as you are now, not as your character would be. Your character would be happy he had land to farm on for free. He would be happy he didn't have taxes. He would be happy he could farm at that spot so easily for however long he wanted.
I am sure walking about 20 paces wouldn't bother him.

Why dont you just build a bridge yourself? The Evergreens had to do it themselves.

20 paces bothered him 8)

He and the farmers will be more happy if there's a bridge there.

Actually, this is some of the pass events that happen to me at Trollsbane, near the Farmfield.

i was planting many cabbage's,when a halfling came by chopping woods"to the right of the farmfield",we were having a pleasant conversation,my cabbage's was ripe when some halfling at the other side of the River yelled for help"He shouted mummies or something like that kept him running around.",the halfling that was chopping woods dare not follow,he said he was no strong etc.well when i came to help the other halfling,he was gone, first i guess it was a prank or he log out"still no mummies spotted :| "..so i went beside the river asking the Halfling to tost my cabbage's accros the river so i could sell them to Eliza, instead i saw him stealing all of my cabbage's and running away,if i could just bypass the river maybe il save some of my cabbage's before that greedy rat got them all....Anyway that was some clever plan you got there. Halfling

Okay,let's get back to topic..
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wish to build a small bridge to bypass the river, since they aren't any townkeeper or mayor to ask permission of,i would like to ask the citizen of trollsbane and getting the majority to build a bridge there, and maybe il ask an architect to build a bridge there to bypass the river

ok falantine, i told you. This is about ic changes. This isnt ooc changes. You can do this ic. You need to contact a Lyrenzia rep. You need to make enough money to do this. Perhaps gather donations. This doesn't belong in this board.

Or maybe you could instead of bridge, build a ford. And your speed would reduce when going on it. :)
