Halfling...a mage?

Post by Gondra Reddishfoot »

I was searching on the net and in this forum and I found a lot of mesages that said: "Magic is not the halfling's speciality, druidry is better." I was just concerned if halflings really do badly in magic. If I am a halfling (and I still have not chosen my path of mage or druid) and I am going to be a mage, am I going to do badly? Or it's because being a halfling mage is difficult?

Well, it's not implented yet that you diferent races have difficulties in their abilities.Of course you caan play a halfling as a mage, but that's very difficult and you have to know exactly why your char does that.so it's a little bit difficult to handle.

No they just mean that your not supposed to roleplay a halfling mage. If you do have a mage halfling your skills wont be any different then some. Oh but if you check the intellegence thing a halfling would be a very good mage

Ok then thanks. I asked because while I was watching my friend playing Illarion, he was rp with a halfling and he was a great mage. And after seeing those messages I felt confused. 10x again.

Unfortunately, I think you can only be a mage with limited abilities, because most of the magic books were taken away and the druid books are extinct. Please correct me if I am wrong...

Are halflings born into cultures that study magic, no. Mage halflings are supposed to be rare, but unfortunately this is not the case. Playing ordinary characters is alot easier than playing "unique" characters because of the constant critisism you will receive from other players. Like : "Halflings are not mages, they are farmers, theives, maybe crafters." Please read up about illarion at: http://www.moonsilver.de
