Is there something that dictates Vocation. There isn't a box on the New char setup, so just wonder if there was a way i could specify.

well ... just a suggestion, so you do not make the same mistaKe as i did
if you want to become a druid, MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FIRNIS BOOK FIRST !!
on the other hand, if you want to become a mage, MAKE SURE YOU READ A MAGIC BOOK FIRST !!

The game isn't finished, so far you can only be a mage or druid, but that is just magic. Vocations aren't implemented yet, so you can have whatever skills and such that you want.

To answer your question: You can play any vocation you want to. Bard, priest, thief, beggar, mercenary, king, jester, Putzfrau (what was that again in english...), brewer, innkeeper, assasine... It´s all a matter of roleplay, you don´t need "skills" to play such peoples. And, bards can play lutes, harps and flutes (may I add a little

?) and can sing marvellous songs and tell glorious tales at the campfire, what else should a bard have for skills?

Ahem, Mr Google says Putz Frau means, Finery Woman...whatever that is.

My dictionary says it's a "cleaning lady".

Although Belegi, skills can aid in your roleplay, being a druid can help you mix different potions. Alot of people play potions as "drinks" such as poison as beer although we do have wine.

I mainly was refering to a bard for the magic description. The magic description says that thier magic notes you must quest for are mostly used for paralysis and helping friends. I mean they would be handy.
But can you splice different classes? Like could i be bard with druid knowledge of beer and wine making, for obvious reasons?

Bards aren't implemented technically yet. If you become a bard when it is technically possible, than no you wouldn't be able to make potions.

Putzfrau = Woman who cleans others rooms for money...
Should be "charwoman" in English...
