To answer your question: You can play any vocation you want to. Bard, priest, thief, beggar, mercenary, king, jester, Putzfrau (what was that again in english...), brewer, innkeeper, assasine... It´s all a matter of roleplay, you don´t need "skills" to play such peoples. And, bards can play lutes, harps and flutes (may I add a little ?) and can sing marvellous songs and tell glorious tales at the campfire, what else should a bard have for skills?

I mainly was refering to a bard for the magic description. The magic description says that thier magic notes you must quest for are mostly used for paralysis and helping friends. I mean they would be handy.
But can you splice different classes? Like could i be bard with druid knowledge of beer and wine making, for obvious reasons?
