Automated E-mails on account sign-up
I know you guys (GM's) take great pride in reviewing everyone’s applications by hand, however it would do the players and board moderators great justice if there was an automated response telling applicants just how long it takes and what to expect when applying. It would probably cut the "why haven’t I been accepted" and "is my name ok" post down tremendously. Just a personal thought to add to the hundreds of them you deal with daily.

Hahaha you think they enjoy reading all those emails???
No, if i remember correctly regarding pretty much the EXACT same thing in a previous topic about a month ago, there already is some slight automation involved, but you can't really design a program to analyze somebody's name and email to see how good an RPer is. There are some things that just can't be done by a comptuer.

All I’m saying is that almost ever single newbi come directly here to post "is my name good" topics. All I’m saying is that if you put an automated response that says "Welcome player to Illarion a web based role playing game. We here at Illarion are very concerned about our playing environment and because of that we check each persons gaming request personally. This does take some time and it may take a week or more for you to get a response from a gm. Please check your name now to make sure that it follows all the rules found at (post link to name rules) or you may not get another response. If your name meets all of these requirements please have patience it does take us a while to read all of our game request. Thank you for visiting us at Illarion
-The Illarion Staff"
That lets everyone know that it takes a while and they should be patient. It doesn’t check the name for them it merle says its gonna take some time.
P.S. I apologize for setting the size too small on my previous post.
