It's probably something to do with his account. PHP is a good system to work on, but sometimes there will be certain bugs. Either that, or it's a database error or something. Perhaps you should ask him to try again, that might fix it?

I think it is sometimes you forget to type in a Title and then the PM box doesn't work right.
