Post by Drogla »

not to be mean, but a lot of Newbees are very anoying, especialy ones that havent played yet. they make proposals of things this and that, when they ahve been proposed or are int eh game or things like that.
for people without an account, maybe they should be restricted to the General board, Test board, adn Newbee board.
just an idea, not trying to be mean.

I almost completly agree!! see not all newbies are completely annoying and stuff. In fact most of them are cool people, and good rpers. We cant punish all of them for one complete idiot, who thinks he or she is infallable.
I do agree that some of them really deserve to be strangled though..

This Idea is not that bad, and has been considered some Time ago.

The main Problem is, that the Account System and the Board Accounts arn't linked at any Place.
So some poor Person would need to sort out each Day who is a not approved Newbie or who is a aktive Player.

So in Fact you would need to make a second Account System just for the Board.
This is a bit too much Work for to little Effect.

I disagree. Some as you rightly say are beyond help, but most make simple errors through lack of knowledge. I know all us old players came into the game knowing everything and not making any mistakes at all, but we were just incredibly clever. Perhaps if we dismounted from our tall equine companion for a second, we might be able to educate the many newcomers, who are good souls but a little lost, before they enter the game so they are prepared. We have a tendency to put down and belittle anyone new who dares break any rules they are not aware of yet. A kind word and a hand in the right direction would be more use. If you are tired of saying the same things over and over fine, stay quiet and let someone else have a try.

Ellaron makes a good point, but remember that the rules are on the homepage for all to read. As for the things that mislead the newcomers, that are on the homepage, we can adleast educate them about things such as that.

There are rules, but there is no manual.
On the other hand, there is a manual in the links section.
Anyone who is about to enter the game, should explore the sites first.

why not just delete all forum names that can not prove that they have an ingame character.
