A good way to distribute skills for an archer?

Post by BlueSprite »

What would be the correct way to distribute the skills if I wish to create an Elven character which is mainly an archer, with just enough skills to use any sort of healing spells/concoctions?

After searching through the boards several times I was unable to find any post which may have any info on this stuff, either I may have overlooked it in my searches or it may have been written in a language that I am unable to read, as I only know how to read English, Spanish and very limited Greek.

Well...as long as I know..this has been answered before. What you should do is when you're creating a character is to click the "advice" button and read it. I'll only give you one hint on what one of the things does. Your knowledge helps you with spells. (Maybe the more you add the more spells you'll know to that trait..) The rest should be straight forward if you click the "advice" button

Ive used the advice button as well as the Illarion web page to decide skill info, but the reason I was asking is because someone who has had the chance to play the game and see what effects each skill has on the character would be able to better guess what effect the certain skill points would have on the character.

and from what I have gathered from reading the Illarion website, reading the information at http://members.lycos.co.uk/illakeep/man ... generation and the advice button Ive come up with the char skills

Agility:14
Constitution:9
Dexterity:19
Essence:10
Intelligence:14
Perception:4
Strength:9
Willpower:3

Perception and Willpower still left at its lowest settings because from what Ive read on the web pages these seem to have no use yet, but since this game is constantly under developement it seems that this may have changed already, thus my reason for asking people who have and are already playing this game.

its always very dangerous to leave attributes out, that seem to have "no purpose" yet.

I figured that much, sadly this time my char creation request actually worked with out the "This name is in use" before I got to read the response from Galdriel :-/
