Whenever someone is convicted of a crime in a trial and there is a victim involved, shouldn't the convicted person be forced to pay the victim an award in gold. After all the victim is the one who has suffered and it is little satisfaction to the victim that the convicted person only does jail time.
I'm not sure if this is already being done or not. The only case I have really followed is #9 and I didn't see any part of the sentence that awarded Cain any monetary compensation for being attacked.

That is what has been going on...for most cases. I think that it depends on what the event is. If someone burned down a building, they would have to pay a reasonable amount of ingots for the damage. If someone casted on someone they should pay a reasonable amount. Of course, if you burn a building down, you would probally have to pay more than casted on someone.
I think for most cases this has been going on. I think that in some cases, the person ends up not paying. Like you mentioned, sometimes it is never brought up.
I am a little curious. Has anyone ever actually went to jail? A lot of people tend to talk about it. Then the person who is accused never goes. ((I've read other posts on this board about the jail and such, but I'm curious if anyone has ever went.))
