Well, Kroq, it really depends as there are people playing, quite literally, from all over the world. Generally, there is around 13-18 people on when I usually get online (which is 2:30 pm, PST). However, this also means that when I get on, its mostly american players, as it would be bed-time, or near it, for most European countries. Then it dies off a bit, at my night time, and after a few hours, the german players start logging in. So it shoots up to about 20, again. So, to answer your question, I suppose...
Its about 2 people, then 15-20, then maybe 10, then 2 again. Some weird estimate like that...

I like the fact that it is a small population. Everybody knows everyone.
Even though we get in fights once in awhile it's like one big family.
I played Tibia for awhile and there was WAY too many people on at one time. It was like people just ignored you when you try to talk to them. The only time I could get any one to speak to me was if they had something to trade or sell.

yes kroq is on that list but my new name is not, i just dont want to bother recreating new forum accouts everytime i make a new name.
... the problem with player populations under 100... is that there are VERY few people your lvl, no NEW people to play with. If u dont like them then you might as well NOT play cause those people are the ONLY people u will ever see in the game.
perhaps the problem is
#1 no-one knows about this game
#2 takes like 2 weeks + to get a character (most people would rather find another game then wiat 2 weeks)
i think the wait time needs to be seriously cut down...
This game tries to get good RP people to jion ONLY... but the thing is people who dont RP will get in anyway cause its soo easy to just make up a dinky story and get accepted then go aroudn killing people...
my idea would be that instead of stopping people before they even play... You should let anyone who wants to join (just have a name checking program if u want) and consentrate more heavily on IN GAME mods... that way if someone spams... BANNED... someone swears in game... BANNED... a bad name slipped through the check... BANNED!

Swearing is legal in this game.
Also, there are no "lvl's" in this game, and if a new player wants to go around killing people, they will have the hell beat out of them by everyone else, then if they break more server rules, they get banned.
A lot of new people have been joining recently, most of them are taking longer because they make illeagle names.
It takes so long because only one maybe two people read the stories and look at the questions, also, the story is easy, but answering the two questions someone who doesn't role play will have trouble answering them properly. For a name checker program to work, they would have to alter the whole client, and making a program like that, would require them to enter every possible breach of the name rules, it's easier for the account emails.

I like it the way it is. Don't change a thing.
I used to think the waiting time was a little long but the more I think about it the more I like it. It gives people time to read the forums, rules and visit the links to get used to the Illarion world and what things are like.
Also they can spend that time living their real life. (assuming they have one.)
I also say block the names before they get in. I don't want to log into a medievil fantasy world and see a bunch of characters walking around with names like Killerdude and MasterMage343. It completely takes you away from the fantasy world you have entered.
And isn't it just more cruel to let these people in and then ban them after they have worked on their skills for a day or two, instead of making sure they learn how to play first, then let them in?

... well i havn't played yet and i already see tons of complaints on the general board about player killing and i dont see anyone resolving the issue.
you really think it would take MORE time to glance at the names of the players online than to read through TONS of emails? In one of my favorite games i play (lost mercinaries) they have like 1-2 imp/ staffer type people on mostly and no-one gets away with anything and all chat/private chat is monitored.
i just think time could be better spent than reading and replying to thousands of emails.

Of course there is PKing.
Most of the time people get killed before they spot the ID number of the person so they can't get report the person because they don't know who it was who killed them! If they see any numbers at all it is the first one or two. If you read most of them they all usually say:
"His id number was 4****. Thats all I could see."

Re: .......
pking is illegal. Killing is not as long as it fits withing a rp environment.shlape wrote:Of course there is PKing.
I don't know where you got that ideal. Even after you get killed you can still see people's number.shlape wrote:Most of the time people get killed before they spot the ID number of the person so they can't get report the person because they don't know who it was who killed them!
I don't know where you heard that either. When you hit f12 it always shows the entire number.shlape wrote: If they see any numbers at all it is the first one or two.
If someone is reporting a player for rules violation they use the enire number. If a character is reporting someone for attacking them but the attacker has a good rp reason to do so they only use 2 or 3 of the numbers. This is because you cannot remember every single detail about a person you only see once. Especially if you are in a fight with them.shlape wrote:If you read most of them they all usually say:
