Local Boy Found Murdered -
Early this morning, in the forest south of town, the body of Francis Greely was found, apparently the victim of a brutal murder. Young Greely was found, stabbed in several places, and his body stashed under a log in the woods. A local Druid found the body by accident when he was collecting herbs in the area.
The boy's Aunt Maybelle requests that the residence of Troll's Bane help find her nephew's murderer. Anyone who wishes to aid Maybelle, please visit her at her home on the west side of town as soon as possible. ((That is, post to this message.))
The funeral for Francis will be held in two days. Members of the community are urged to attend to comfort the grieving family.

Cain writes a heart-felt message:
Does the thought not cross your distant mind that the person may have been a newcomer to our town? I shall attend the funeral, if I am able. I do not know if I will be able to attend. Also, I shall be keeping my eyes open for shady characters whom may be behind such a violent murder. Tis tragic, when new people of these lands are brutally slaughtered by knaves such as these. I will pray for swift justice on these people and hope that my prayers be answered, for the sake of this family and their loss.
My condolences in your loss,
Cain S. Freemont
When all seems lost, look to the gods and know they are willing to help.

With the sun at its zenith in the early summer sky, a few somber townsfolk make their way down the cobbled streets of Troll's Bane passing the inn. The cobbles give way to a dusty path to the western pensula that leads to the Greely Manor. The Manor is a small, but stately two-story home; the stone walls covered in ivy.
The young Francis is to be placed in the family tomb located at the back of the property this afternoon. All those wishing to pay their respects should come to the front door.
((This is a led role play *coughPAULcough*. With things waning on the island with the disappearance of the dark creatures, I thought we stir things up with a murder mystery. Anyone who wants to play, knock at the door. I will post again tonight to those that respond.
Other than that, if you have OOC questions about this game, please pm me instead of spamming this board. ))

Jackson knocks on the family house and walks in,sitting on the old wooden chair
I would like to help you find out who did this to Francis, but we need to look everywhere...man,my father never told me this kinda stuff would happen in Trollsbane. I will return later tonight,or early tomorrow,to see what you have found.
Jackson walk back out the door, and down an empty street

A knock is heard at the door, the halfling mother wipes a tear away from her eye with a hankerchief. Surprised at who is at the door she drops her hankercheif.
Greetings Ma'am, I have come to help you find the person/thing who killed your son. If you accept my help I will help you in anyway I can.[/u]

Both of these foolish Creatures confessed that they murdered the Boy.
I doubt we need to take them to the Lyrenzia Court, so we can put them in Prison right now.
Even if they did not do it, it would be better for the whole public if these two lunatics where looked away for thier own safty.
But, to test the effectfullness of our new court, i demand that Paul Laffing and Bingem Durthrotgar where judged for Murderer by the Lyrenzia Court.
Paul brought his own evidance, the Knife.
If not for that Case than they shall be punsihed for false accuse, even if they accused themself.

Crime-case simualtion might be a possible accusation on Paul Laffings behaviour. But I fear, we don't need to bring him to court for Paul Laffing is Troll's Banes most famous insane and therefore he might not be liable for crime.
I feel we should make him vitreous, ignore him or, if he stands in ones way, simply wipe him out.

Although I didn't know Francis I'd like to express my condolences to his family. I hope the real murderer will be found soon.
Unfortunately I'm not sure if I will be able to come to the funeral but I hope there will be a lot of friends to solace the relatives and to pay their last respects to Francis.

Cain Freemont approaches the door of the Greely Manor, hesitant at first to knock on a perfect stranger's front door. He knocks. After waiting a few moments, the door creaks open and Cain introduces himself.
"Hello. I am Cain Freemont, native to the land of Drundir. I heard well of your loss and would much like to assist you in anyway possible. Whilst here, I would like to pay my respects and perhaps offer any help in this time of hardship."
Cain patiently awaits an answer.

Grant, Cain and Boremier arrive at the Greely door at nearly the same time. A round halfling woman in her early forties opens the door. You vaguely recognize her face; perhaps you have passed her on the streets of Troll’s Bane. As you three enter the entrance hall, you notice that many friends and family of the grieving family are already crowded into the home. To the right is the parlor room, where the viewing is being held. To the left is a sitting room where people have gathered, talking in hushed voices. Ahead you see a staircase ascending to the upper level and, lastly the area you are in stretches back leading to the rear of the home where the kitchen and dining room are located.
"I am Helen, Maybelle's sister." The woman smiles and offers to take your cloaks. "Maybelle has had a very hard time with this. We all have." Helen sighs with a heavy heart and directs you to into the sitting room. “But I know that your presence will help her,” Helen glances down the hall way to the kitchen.
Once in the crowded sitting room each of you recognize a few familiar faces from town. Old Man Egill, a popular fixture at the tavern, leans on his cane in the corner. A pretty blond human woman who you’ve seen selling bread in the market stands near the fireplace speaking to a halfling woman. The shutters on the large windows are open. A slight breeze passes through the room, carrying the shrill voices of young children which are in stark contrast to the morose whisperings of the adults inside. The room is well furnished with over-stuffed chairs and ottomans. Small occasional tables are sprinkled throughout the room upon which small knick-knack items are displayed. The large stone fireplace takes up the entire northern wall.
Cain, Helen reaches out and tugs on your hand slightly causing you to bend so she can whisper something to you quietly. “You said when you arrived, you would be willing to help us in this tragedy. We have several bedrooms upstairs that are unoccupied. You and your friends (she assumes you all came together) may use them anytime. Make yourselves at home.” Helen leaves to attend some other business else where in the house, allowing the party to speak with people in the room.

Cain Freemont stands there, idle for a moment. After assessing the situation, he leans into Boremier and Grant's direction and whispers.
"Helen said that we can use the bedrooms upstairs when we feel the need. I can't help but feel a bit out of place, with all the grieving family and friends... I don't know these people, yet I still want to help. What do you two make of this? I intend to help find the murderer so that this family can rest a bit easier. I assume you two are here for that same reason. Regardless of the fact that we came technically separate from each other, we should probably work together if we are to get anywhere. Perhaps we should get acquainted with the people around us. They may be able to tell us more than we already know."
Cain adjusts his tunic and darts his eyes from one person to the next, analyzing and taking in his surroundings.
"Nice place," He thinks aloud. "...But where to start?"

Gannon pokes his face around Grant and Boremier. Then leans over to Cain and whispers
I Think we should stay. Can give us a chance to search the place for evidence. Not to mention question a couple of people like you said. Very strange thou to me.
Gannon waits for Cain to awnser. In the mean time Gannon turns to Helen and says.
Im very sorry for your lose. I hope everyone is holding up well.

Cain looks to Gannon, curious as to when he arrived. Disregarding such a question as useless, Cain speaks.
"I have to agree, Gannon. It is a good idea to stay and search the place. Aye, Gannon. This is very strange to me as well."
Cain adresses the three now, "What say we make a small wager gentlemen? Fifty gold says I find the culprit of this murder case before any of you. Perhaps the wager will motivate each of us into searching for the killer more efficiently."
Cain turns to the people gathered away from them, then back to Gannon once more. "I think they would be the best to ask first..."

Drathe walks up to the door of the house. Pausing before it he looks up at building. The stone, a mottled patch work of weatherd grey. Probably suiting the moods of those with in. Turning his attention back to the door, he reluctantly goes to knock. Just before his knuckle strikes, he pulls away.
'Ahh, but I will just be another smile and speaker few unfelt words rubbing in the all to clear truth.' He sighs shaking his head and turns away to leave, when he hears a familiar voice speak.
'A small wager gentlemen? Fifty gold says I find the culprit of this murder case before any of you.'
After a few seconds of thought Drathe turns back to the door and gives it a polite number of knocks.
