what is the video card requierments help with black screen

I have xp home to start off with. Am I supposed to see anything when I start the program or do I actually be loged in to see anything but the black screen? I see my mouse thats all. I have played other rpgs that use clients and had no problem like astonia. I havent been acepted yet eaither so i cant log in yet to see if the black screen will go away. usually what I am used to is having a log in screen with graphics on it but this is a little different and i have cheaked all the things that i was supposed to everything is ok thats why im asking

you cannot log into the game, therefore, you will not see anything but a little box that says you havent been accepted yet.
