Question:::When you cast xxx xxx does it evfer make the ice flame
Proposal:::when casting xxx xxx xxx, it sometimes makes a fire. shouldnt the ice bolt make an ice flame?

xxx xxx is already the strongest Spell in this game, and you ask for making it even stronger?
There is no real reason for adding this.

The reason a xxx xxx xxx makes a flame is because it is a fireball. An explosion of fire. xxx xxx is an ice bolt, not an explosion of ice, so it wouldn't freeze the surrounding ground.

Do you REALLY need more ways to kill people and monsters? I mean seriously, Most people just use xxx xxx, xxx xxx,xxx xxx, etc. Sheesh, might as well take away all the spells besides xxx xxx xxx xxx, and xxx xxx. I dont see anyone using xxx xxx,xxx xxx, or xxx xxx anymore. Everyone just does the most powerful spell.

not true cain. i use every spell when casting on people. i try to NOT use xxx xxx cause it is so powerful.

no, its just i meant to say im not against a more powerful spell and its coming from someone who cant even use it. thats my point. then again im not for it either. what about flames? i see those all the time. by the way you are giving away all the best spells and ruining the experience for newbies to find out on there own.

Yeah, Gro'bul. I'm giving away all the best spells. Its inevitable anyway. All the newbies have to do is check the newbie boards far enough back and they will find someone else who posted all the spells anyways. I find it kind of rude that you single ME out saying I am ruining things when this topic itself was based around spells. There's tons of other topics that go more in depth on this matter, so don't even start to accuse me of doing this, because it is nothing new.

Yes...it is quite destructive to player's RP experiences for the spell combinations to be posted and proclaimed...I try to use other names as a substitute when a spell must be mentioned in place of the rune combo...so for example instead of saying "xxx xxx" say 'ice bolt', it really isn't that hard...and you don't ruin other player's RP experiences that way.

People only use 'ice bolt', 'paralyse' and 'healing' because they do different things. If for instance 'water spin thing' put out flames and 'green explosion' cursed people for a short time people would use other spells aswell. As it is there is no reason why people should use spells like 'blue explosion' when the can use more powerful ones like 'ice bolt'.

Strangely I almost never use another spell then the elven fire. My char is also able to cast damage (death plant) and whirl as well, but I barely ever use them, even though I know that the elven fire spell does almost no damage. I do it because it is spiritual magic and it fits my char, for short, because of *role playing* reasons.

So, whats the point here? My english inst that good. Are you talking about making some spells weaker so people dont use these 3 spells all the time? Or are you talking about making stronger spells? Im a little bit confused...

The point the way I see it is that the Magic System in illarion definitely needs to be re-adjusted because of many power imbalances with the spells.

Also, something that has been obviously overlooked, spells that affect more than one tile.
