Screenshot contest

Post by martin »

You probably noticed that most games of this kind sometimes start screenshot contests. I do not know if something like that ever took place in Illarion. However, I will start one now.

You didn't really think that I start an *ordinary* screenshot contest? Of course not. What I want to see is the ugliest screenshot you can produce. The criteria are:
* It has to be an Illarion screenshot (no fakes!)
* Except for the popular "patched" ground tiles the images should be the original illarion one!
* It should only show the playing area, not the surrounding interface (inventory etc.)
* Formats allowed are: jpg, png
* The images should be posted on the *graphics* board (NOT here!) or sent to me by e-mail: martin@illarion.org
* Posting or e-mail should include a short statement telling us WHY the screenshot is so ugly.
* A jury will determine which screenshot is the ugliest.
* Everyone in the jury is not allowed to participate in the contest.
* Every participant may only send 2 screenshots maximum!

From now on, you have 1 week to show your shots.

* Jeder Starter darf hoechstens 2 Screenshots einschicken!

There will of course be a prize (which is secret by now) and "ugly" is what you consider to be ugly.

Could it be a series of screenshots that make a story?

It's interesting that every question which arose here or in IRC was already answered in my first posting. Maybe you should really try to read it and ask afterwards.

Yes, reading, I've been hearing that a lot lately... I wonder what it is.

Hopefully I can have a good screenshot which I can submit, or an ugly one  .

Therefore the persons that are too lazy to read suck up the whole time of the people who hardly have any time, because they are reading anything and are therefore forced to write a reply that says the same as the initial posting.

I recently received a mail containing a 3-MB-bmp-image showing me the whole inventory etc. of the player.
PLEASE READ WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN!
I did not write this just for fun!
png or jpg, only the playing area without inventory etc.

What's so difficult about that? I thought it would be necessary to be able to read when you play illarion.

Due to a lack of participants I decided to let it fall asleep.
