I am very distressed lately over a problem with topic watching. I have been continually spammed by the "webmaster" because it seems I have unintentiontally and unknowingly activated the "topic watching" tool. I never tried to do such a thing as topic watching and being the target of constant emails. Constantly having to go to each topic I visit and click the "stop watching" link is highly annoying...If someone could help me to solve this problem of "watching topics" and being spammed as a result I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance!

'Always notify me of replies: Sends an e-mail when someone replies to a topic you have posted in. This can be changed whenever you post.' is the title of the column and it is the third set of circles down from the top. Make sure 'No' is checked.
As for canceling the ones you're already automatically replying to, I have no idea. Sorry.

@Serpardum I had always had it turned to "do not notify me" with emails when a new post appears in a topic, but mysteriously it seems that it went to "yes notify me with emails" by itself. As well, it appears that every topic I visit it automatically changes my status to "watching the topic". What can I do about this annoyance?
If it's set to no now, set it to yes, submit it, set it back to no.
Maybe something got a little quirky when we updsate teh OS for your forum accounts.
That's what I woudl try anyway.
And then you'll still need to go and tell it fo reach thread you are already monitoring not to e-mail you about htem. The way I did it in the past is clicked on the link in the e-mail, and at the bottom of the page will be a link to stop watching the thread. AFter a few days they were all reset again.
