Subject: Get over it..
They probably wont let you play ever again and even if they do, you'll ahve to start another character.. so if you want to find a new mmorpg go to www.youdontknowwhoiam***
theres a huge list of PTP and free mmorpg's... most are better than illarion
DO NOT FOLLOW THE LINK! Vindigan intentionally sent me the link, which goes to a spamming site, which crashes your computer. I consider this a cyber attack on my computer, using the Illarion server. :o :x

That site does no harm, you can stop the pop-ups. I thought you neaded a little time away from the forums :P

Anyway, i thought you knew the person who made the site? why would you go on it if you knew what it does?

He mislead me to believe it was something it wasn't, and i trusted him with it because i had no reason not to trust him.

Lets see, he suckered you into clicking a link for a site that does a lot of pop ups and it crashed your computer.

Actually, I think it's pretty funny.

Not that your computer crashed, but that he suckered you into it.

See how funny it is when you click on it. And then go on the Illarion servers and click on it. IT won't be too funny then

I think Serpardum knows enough about computers not to click on a link just because a stranger told him to. After all, he is the leader of the Server Programmers.

Just for the heck of it, I clicked on the link, it came up, started popping up, then I ctrl-alt-del, brought up the task manager and ended internet explorer about 3 times and it went away.

Then I came back here.

Now I really think it's funny :)

Then again, I must congratulate you on your bravery, Paul.
Considering the url, you have been gullible in the extreme to believe it to be mmrpg listings...

Since they locked the Banning post before I got to post anything, I have some quick comments before i head out.

First as seen in the logs they have posted in that topic, I extracted some of the quotes made by myself:
#32540 is me
Cosmaterra wrote: Someone (32540): ?
Someone (32540): umm
Someone (32540): whoa
My only comment about this is: Does that sound like a murderer or a confused person in the wrong place at the wrong time?
Cosmaterra wrote: Someone (32540) forms silent words with the lips.
Someone (32540): there paul
I wonder if they looked any further into this. Not only was that a Mes Pen spell, but I was healing Paul after he was attacked AND tried to revive the theif guy unsuccessfully.

Those are my only real comments about that. Im not going to bicker and whine about this, if I'm banned im banned.

Thanks for your time,
Fooser

It seems that the page spreads the JS-Spawn Virus!
My trusted AntiVir went wild, you guys better start scanning your Temporary internet-files immediatly!

My norton AV didnt pick anything up, and its up-to-date. Also the computers at my school didnt pick anything up and they have loads of things running to stop these things. Mabey that virus was already in your temp files and your virus scanner scanned them all?

I doubt, since it started to alarm at the moment the page was loaded.
The alarm was also repeating, it was sending me another virus as fast as the pop-ups appeared.

Actually, different virus scanners report java script exploits a little differently.

It is not actualy a virus, but an annoyance, and so your virus scanner was taught to scan for it.

There are certain pop up adds that will fire off my virus scanner, although they are not true viruses, they are trojans.

So you learned something: Just because you have "no reason to not trust him", is no reason to trust him. There are about 7 billion people on this earth, that I don't know. So I have no reason not to trust them ....

So where is the part where the illarion server is used in this illegal activity?

Hey Astral, you can only block the user from looking at the bottom for the hyperlink but the true link will never change; but you can still right-click and go to the properties.

There's always a way around :D

?? Yes it is... In this thread, where a person using your board account posted the link in the first posting. So the person using your board account at that time was doing something illegal, if anyone at all.
