Was reading the website a little on the skills and stuff and was wondering if it was true that getting older affected your skills. Is that true?

No, there is no aging process and your skills only go down if you die or you get punished for breaking game rules.

if you die, how rapidly go they down (slow, fast)

It seems to me that they go down more rapidly the more often you die in a certain amount of time. It isn't that bad the first time, but the second or third time the loss is quite hard.
