Have the sticky stuff breakable as they are at present but..and heres the but ,let it take a few seconds to free ones self .When chased by a few spiders (if your mad enough to go deep into there nests) and you stumble into a web, hehehe...your pulse should increase accordingly .It would also be correct if the spiders lurking deep in the webs also hold the best loot so as to encourage the mad

Fearfull spider dens
With all our lovely spidery horrors we lack something..how about using our great spider webs ? lets place many of these in the areas spiders haunt, and more of them the deeper you get into spider territory.

Re: Fearfull spider dens
I would like this for a just a few but not for all. We had that same scenario for all spider webs before and it was quite irritating to walk/freeze/walk/freeze so much. I think at the time everyone was glad they were removed.

I don't miss sticky webs one bit. Lag is too common in this game, don't need a built in feature.
Re: Fearfull spider dens
I prefer a small chance of spiders getting spawned when stepping on the webs. The freezing is no option to me. In my eyes, the current "freezing" is just an absue of the movepoints. I fail to the the benefit of taking the players away ANY way of reacting, including emoting(!).

Great idea!
What about in addition to the chance of spawning a spider (with the type/level/chance of the spider depending on the area you are in) there would also be a smaller chance to find random items in the webs. I don't think it would be too uncalled for to allow the players to retrieve items left behind by the creepy crawlers' past victims. I highly doubt that a spider would try to adorn a ring or read a treasure map after it has had it's fill of halfling surprise and it would likely just be left in it's web or nearby.
That way you create a risk and reward system instead of just creating a risk.
As long as the probability of spawning a spider or an item are adjusted based on the location (Higher chances in a dungeon as opposed to right outside of a town) than I think that this idea could liven up Illarion a bit
...or get us all eaten by spiders!
