Across the Sea [OPEN]

The air stroked his cheeks gently. He smiled and closed his eyes, taking everything in. It had been such a long, long, long time since he had felt this amazing. His heart was beating quickly, his cheeks rosy, and his face full of happiness. Truly. He was happy in this instant. So young and yet on his own, free, exploring the world to his own heart's desire. His travels across the sea allowed him to see many things. Different ships, sails, animals, and even people. His most rewarding experience was seeing the enormous castle constructed completely upon a bed of jagged rock. "I wish I'd lived there. Gods! The sights I've seen on the water! Truly. Remarkable." He thought to himself, looking back, watching the castle grow smaller, smaller, and smaller until it faded away and melted into the horizon.

No sooner than it seemed I had left, a storm broke out over the sea. My tiny boat was rocked and smashed and hammered yet it still remained topside and floating. I couldn't honestly believe it. All I could think of the entire journey was.. "The Gods are looking over me." I knew I should have been dead. Almost as soon as it had came, the storm ceased. I continued on, through the large blue expanse.

I kept thinking to myself when I would.. when.. and then I did. Land! I saw it. Finally.. finally..

"I made it! I made it! I had finally made it!"

I dragged the boat ashore and lay my head down against it. Shortly after I fell asleep..

Not quite knowing where she was and happy her sister Taiah elected not to travel with her this time, Caiah looked up at the sky trying to judge by the sun's rays at least what direction she was near. She knew there was a wall far to the north, small islands far to the south but east and west were sometimes confusing. No monsters seemed to be near yet it was strange this quiet place near the sea. It was also strange not talking to her sister though getting involved in her craft would definitely take her mind off wanting to explore. Deciding to rest and enjoy the roll of the waves after sheathing her sword and carefully placing her shield near her belt, Caiah passes a rather large boulder then suddenly halts. Gazing at an unexpected site, her dark eyes linger on a small boat not in the best of shape and a man.. no a boy..someone near, possibly hurt. Walking over she leans down and touches his shoulder..

Are you alright?
