People of Troll’s Bane,
It is with a heavy quill that I write these words. While there were many throughout Gobaith whom disagreed with the rule of Prince Anarius of Lonewood, all must agree that his life was taken in an abhorrent and cowardly manner. Those behind these acts receive no support from Troll’s Bane. No rewards shall be given. Nor shall they receive any praise or thanks from our town. Such actions are the work of spineless criminals. Troll’s Bane offers its sincere condolences to the Prince’s men, his family, and all people of Salkamar.
With the complete support of the Town Guard; Salkamar; the allies of Troll's Bane, both old and new; and, most importantly, the citizens of Troll’s Bane, I fill the void left in the leadership of Troll’s Bane. Troll’s Bane shall not descend into chaos. Nor shall it fall into the hands of those who would lead it to ruin. Troll’s Bane shall rise to prosperity. We shall once more be the centre of Gobaith, not just geographically, but economically, politically, and socially.
To the enemies of Troll’s Bane, and any who would oppose my rule, heed this warning: you shall be dealt with by a firm, swift hand. Our people and allies are numerous as they are strong. The laws of Troll’s Bane shall continue to be upheld, in a strict, yet fair, manner. Dissent shall not be tolerated.
I shall be aided in my role as Viceroy by a council of Troll’s Bane’s most capable minds. Among these men shall be the well respected Mister Artimer Fault, and our beloved Guard Captain, Aeris. This group shall be consulted in many matters regarding the town. All shall be trusted representatives of their various groups and classes, and will be happy to voice any concerns that you may raise with them.
Effective immediately, the law banning fishing is repealed. Introduced in its place shall be one that operates to discourage the act of littering.
