Scars

Post by Lady Misha »

((Open, but send a PM before posting. Wouldn't want for any more loafs of bread....))

The new dawn has come and gone,
the morning dew has dried.
And if gaze would fall
on the hospital
and we were to step inside.
We would find not man nor beast, but a cleaver mix of two.
Though I'd not call it either, but that's if I were you.

Crimson mark enblazened, forfeiting an eye,
Hookish claw upon her maw
and letting out a sigh.
A curving scar that reaches far
has claimed it's place of rest
With a scoff she prods the cloth
that hides it on her chest.

And she is left to herself, though she'd rather not.
For in her forced seclution
She is left in thought
And to delusion...

I didn't think he'd stab me!
What was going through my mind!
I'd sooner thought he'd turn and flee!
Now I've an axe to grind!

For if I am the villian
I could sooner play the part
Damn that cursed Surian
He strikes me at the heart

I'd thought it all was settled
Lines drawn in the sand
Instead I am reviled
I do not understand!

I do despise this comprimise.
My work was all for naught!
Was my life, upon the knife
what he truely sought?

But then he runs to rescue
To help me in my time of need.
What then is one to do
when his actions void his deed?

And she ponders

The nights pass into days
And days pass into nights
But now her eye displays,
A look of sheer delight.

With a skip in her stride
and a bounce in her step.
She dances inside
of where knowledge is kept.

She had not stayed for learning
as that lays outside her grasp.
But followed instead a yearning,
and followed much too fast.

A familiar ache within her chest
finds a new desire.
She finds herself unable to rest
filled with a burning fire.

Her thoughts do race
As does her pulse,
A love she creates,
a love that is false.

He was not my adversary!
Indeed he feels remorse!
The hate was imaginary!
I should have know of course!

He came to see how I faired,
And escorted me about.
I should have know her cared!
That mushy little lout!

We shared how we felt,
the secrets we've kept.
I thought I would melt.
How easy I slept!

I told him a story, oh how we laughed!
Though I did his laughing for him.
And my excitement was soon halved
Just when it was filling to it's brim.

His silly little games
It's like they never end.
He tells me that my name's
just that of a friend.

He tells me of his lover
I think only of our kiss
He tells me of the other
as I linger at his wrist.

I will let him speak,
even when he is mistaken.
For if this bond grows weak
His heart will be retaken.

I let his warmness fill me,
a taste of things to come.
I'll have to make him see,
for now I'll let him run.

And she savors the taste of his blood
