Since i recently got admonished for someone getting clouded due to poison, i thought i'd post this. Its not directly related though, more general thoughts i've had for a while.

Currently, someone is posioned, knocked down, and then a few seconds later clouded. However, i think it would improve things to put in a five minute (or so) gap between the knock down and then the clouding, to give an oppurtunity to drink an antidote. The reason why i'd prefer this is clouding is something id rather avoid in general, and currently once poisoned in battle, unless you win and then drink an antidote, your dead.

In rl, poison doesnt work quite as fast as it seems to ig (yeah, i know its fantasy, im just pointing out), so its perfectly justifiable to have a 'gap' where the victim is paralysed. This would give great oppurtunity for rp, such as 'give me the information, and i give you the antidote', etc. Its too quick right now. We have the safety net of being knocked back during a normal engine fight, so why not include this too? (provided the system lets you etc)

I also like the idea of things like willpower and constitution lengthening the 'gap' period.

Then someone is knocked down he is close to death. If you fight with poison you have to accept that it will be deadly if your enemy got knocked down. If you don't want to kill, don't use poison weapons.
