It has been a long time since this isle has had a Tournament that truly declares the Champion of the isle. In four dwarven weeks, we shall know. The Official Gobaith tournament shall pit some of the greatest warriors on the isle against each other to duke it out for bragging rights and supremacy. In order to pay for concessions and other costs, sign up fees will be 2 silvers per person. Awards will include: The title of Gobaith Champion or Champion of Gobaith (Your choice), a percentage of the sign up fees, and the prestige of beating all that come in your way.
Since this is a Gobaith Fighting Tournament, each person must find a sponsor to fight for, be it himself, a guild, or a town. When signing up, one must include his sponsor or the town that he fights for. The winner of the Tournament will also be helping the guild or town that he fights for. Not only will they now be able to claim they harbor the strongest warrior on the isle, but they'll also be able to say they were the recipient of a large donation from our funds.
Below are the towns/guilds and their representatives. Remember, this isn't a "The greatest warrior from every guild and town" tournament. Multiple warriors are accepted without discretion from different guilds. A little inner rivalry never hurt anyone. This is more of a draft list, any guilds or towns that are left out, please send me a dove so that I can add them to the list:
- Troll's Bane -
Varshikar -
Greenbriar -
Grey Rose -
Silverbrand -
Nordmark -
Tol Vanima -
Caelum -
Knighthood of Gobaith -
Zzyathis-
Unsponsored fighters -
The Grovestrider's -
The Knighthood of Kallahorn
Official Rules and Regulations
- - Straight fighting, no attacking the back of the opponent.
- If a piece of armor breaks in battle the match will be postponed for a short time to resupply the lost item.
- Tis more of a free form tournament, you choose your OWN armor.
- Magical Swords are allowed this time at the discretion of the participants. Should it become a common theme with others being defeated simply because of magical blades, the staff will issue loaned magical swords or use during the tournament.
- You cannot step out of the Arena at any time.
- No healing properties. Once you step back, the match is over. NO MAGES.
- You can ether fight to the death or have a simple lowest point duel. When you choose to step back is your own problem, if you are beaten to the cross, your armor and equipment will be returned to you at a later time. Just make your way back to the Arena for healing and your valuables. Hopefully, nothing such as this will happen.
The fighting sections and the "roster" of combatants will be posted at a later time. However, we still accept admissions. So, sharpen your blades, chink out the dents in your armor, and polish your skills so that maybe you, one day will be able to call yourself the Champion of the Isle.
Thank you,
Julius Rothman
