I do know that my hardware should handle it as my Windows screen res is set to the 1024 X 768 that Illa requires. Also, while my tower isn't brand new it is less than 10 yrs old, has a 933 Mhz pent3 with 128mb sdram.....I have looked at my settings and the highest I can go is 24bit color "quality".......so where do I go from here if I am still told "Unable to find screen resolution 1024 X 768 in 32"?

Screen resolution....again
ok...I know this has been beaten to death, but it seems that everyone who has screen resolution issues has different system issues. So, here we go again

There are rare integrated graphic cards that work with 24bit. Its really uncommon at Windows systems but those cards exsist.
Sadly the windows client of Illarion doesn't seem to support any longer to change bit depth to anything but 32bit.
If you do not get a new driver that supports 32bit (what is faster then 24bit anyway) it looks not that good.

Did some looking at the card mfger and the HP sites and there is no driver listed for my card newer than what I have already....as a matter of fact MY version is newr than anything they have to offer. So my question is where can I go to get a more recent driver, or maybe I should wait for this Storm (Ike) to trash my system and replace the whole thing?

Not knowing your graphic card, if the manufacturer has no better driver listed, you probably won't find one. You might want to contact HP to ask. An option is to replace the graphic card with one that has memory capabilities
