UPCOMING SPRING CELEBRATION

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Inhabitans of Gobaith, Troll's Bane bring you good tidings today:
On the first month of the 25th year, we shall celebrate the beauty of the Spring Season. On the month of Elos, we shall all gather in a friendly and cheerful gathering, enjoying the new season with drinks and food, chatter and laughter and music and singing. During that time, forget all the hard work and labour and the tedious errands of the day, and join us during this joyful merry time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

»» EVENT INFORMATION
  • When?
    • The 15th of Elos, Year 25
      (( Friday, 20th June: 10:00pm GMT+2; 4:00pm EST; 3:00pm CST ))
    Where?
    • At Troll's Bane Marketplace
    What?
    • The celebration will consist of a gathering between people who can enjoy peaceful time between each other.

      Beverages such as beer, wine and water will be served, along with food.

      Performances such as dancing, music and singing all depends on the free volunteers.

      No fees required.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
»» IMPORTANT
  1. For safety reasons (and for better enjoyment), no one will be allowed to carry weapons or armor with them during the celebration, except for Troll's Bane Town Guard who will at the same time assure the town's safety. Please respect this.
  2. Anyone wishing to sing, play some instrument, dance, or perform in some other way may freely and voluntarily do so on the day of the celebration as long as they do not obstruct other's performances and respect the crowd.
  3. To determine the food and beverage provisions needed, I ask each one of you to simply pin a short note here confirming their attendance. This way we can estimate what is needed to satisfy all the people. Note that anyone who does not write here may of course still attend and enjoy, but is not guarenteed to have their stomachs filled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

|| A thanks goes to Olive Feldarp for the proposal, as well as for her will and aid.

I hope that many will come and we have a cheerful time alltogether. In case that any of the particulars change (not expected), an announcement shall of course be added here.

A note is pinned here in poor yet legible handwritting.

This sounds like a swell festival. I shall take a day off of work just to be here. But do tell, which day of Elos is this festival going to be on so I can prepare accordingly?

A new parchment is placed here in poor yet legible handwriting

My apologies Mister W.E., I was so excited about such a festival that I didn't read all of the parchment. Silly little old me!

Kaila walks past as usual and finally seeing the notice, the debris having covered it earlier, she smiles taking out a pen and writing at the bottom of it in small handwriting, slightly skewed as it goes up one side of the parchment.

We will try to come.

She then shifts her baby to the other shoulder and walks away whispering softly.

We have a party to go to.

If possible I would love to attend. However if I can't just dispense my food among the guards for better protection.

a man walks by slowly, with a lute on his right arm and a a book in his left hand he tears a page from the book covered in hasty handwriting and slams it next to the other notes before walking back to the tavern

Spring has sprung, a new year has begun,
Mas is has passed, and Elos is upon us.
And the cold of winter is done.

Here we arrive at the start of the twenty fifth,
the time of illumination and renewal,
when the farms reopen, to provide food to miner & smith,
Truly this, is the year's crowning jewel.

We leave the snow and hail behind us,
and celebrations and feasting begin,
This poem, lacking in jest and with great disgust,
wants you to forget what happens outside, and concentrate within.
