Extremely Strong Monsters in Trollsbane

Post by ThisGuy »

There are extremely strong monsters in Trollsbane. I'm not a fighter so I usually stay in town where its safer, but today its not. The monsters(no clue what they are but they look like orcs only larger) move alot faster than I can move hit alot harder than I can hit, and I'm sure they're more durable than I am since I only have 4 constitution.

Why are they there?
When are they leaving?
Are they coming back again?

Also is there a way to know if there are going to be monsters in towns before logging in? These had me almost dead by the time I was even able to see the screen.

Normally there aren't monsters in TB.
Maybe someone brought them in or it's part of a quest.

If you are afraid of Enemys, get into higher or lower places, Monsters can't crawl stairs up or down, so you should be pretty safe.

its not that I'm afraid its more of me not being a fighter, and this is a town not some place monsters are native. The workshop, the library, the hospital, every where you try to run there are monsters...so no way to run up or down any stairs(and not much reason to play the game if I'm hiding in a building anyway)

I just created a fighter character, I killed 1 but 2 more popped up as soon as I did. I died and I'm now trapped in the lbrary since the door was closed...:(

guess I should just take a day off :x

Those were a special type of mummy that respawn when you kill them. Most new players don't know better so they increase the problem and some older players enjoy killing them for some reason :? . Sadly such things happen in unfortunate locations like the newbie spot in the library

It rather surprised me, actually at first I thought it was another character cos I didn't expect to see monsters there!

If it's a brand new character and you lost all your items in that attack then it would be best to remake the character as your unlikely to get your items back form the GM's.if it's a slightly older character though you can always barter and beg some players. It's an inconvience with the spawning mummies but it shouldn't happen too often. You were just one of mnay unforunate characters to get ghosted. Don't get scared away now

press F12 to see the numbers/names of chars, anything without a number is an Npc, you don't have to fear the Rabbits nor the sheeps, except those become some kind of Killersheep, but anything not Animal and heading straight for you should be avoided or attacked.

You just need a shield and they are pretty weak once you have one.
Anyway, they are gone. Its all good... its safe. This happens -very- rarely, and so you don't really have to worry. If all else fails just close a door behind you and wait. A person will save you eventually. Its more fun to be trapped with multiple people, because then you get some good interesting rp going on -and- some practice at rping plus your character may make friends. :)

Werte Gemeinde,
was ist los?

The problem is, that ome people lure those mummys on purpose in town, just like people lure golems into the town, its crap rp, nothing else.

I killed next to 20 Mummys yesterday alone in Trollsbane, 6 or 5 from them were trapped inside buildings, then on the way to varshikar I killed 4, if you want to use monster to attack any town speak with a Gm not lure them on purpose in.

once again is a bad night in trolls bane... mummy invasion part 3.... i have reason to suspect that thier are 2 culprits... i have no proof but recent talk umongst those two have thinking that they are so much the reason for the fact... again i can not confirm this but im not going to deny that is pure coincedence.. i need more time and proof before i mention names and reasons why.. only to confirm my theory and acusation... but beware of bane at night because unless its a part of a quest or a new ingame thing i belive people(persons) are leading mummies into bane

Phib just hand your theories in to a GM via means of Private Message.

No need to make people mistrust each other here on the boards with accusations.

Actually, you might want to do this kind of investigations ingame. I don't know the backgrounds of these "events", but maybe your characters want to find out?
