A Melody Of Gold And Memories

It was a natural lullaby in the deep of night. The waves that stroked the shoreline and pressed upon the docked ships, the quiet breath of salty air that curled about the various buildings and teased the ship sails, even the creak of the wood of dock and ship alike all gave the surroundings its unique song. On bare feet, the thin figure stepped from the confines of the recently docked ship and made her way to the wet pier. The moon was high upon the sky, its light giving a soft glow to the quiet surroundings. As she stepped down, the bangles about her wrists, the jewels about her hips and the small, dangling chains piercing her ears gave the quiet lullaby a new tune. With each step the thin, precious metals touched together with the softest of tinkling noises.

It was when she came to a stand-still at the end of the pier did the exotically dressed elven lady truly take in her surroundings. With a lifted chin and eyes that shone with a fiery challenge, she looked ahead to the nearby forest and the path that led on to various towns. As a gentle, cool spring breeze swept over her bare shoulders, she could not help a curling smile on her painted lips as chill bumps ran down her skin. Her eyes ran over the stretching shadows before she tucked her chin and stepped forward slowly. Her hands fell to her hips, where a thin, velvet-like purse was settled. Without a word, the elfess moved through the shadows, only the tinkering of the metal jewelry giving way her every step.

Before the hour had passed, before the moon had made too much advancement in it's nightly journey, the silent elfess clad in soft blue and jewels found herself stepping before a wide gate, doors closed tight. Her glittering eyes fell to the banner that snapped with the lightest touch of a wind, reflecting the words inscribed upon it. As she looks over the thin material, her soft lips form the words in a whisper barely audible to herself. "Troll's Bane", she mumbled, her lips curling into a familiar smile. Without hesitation afterward, she stepped forward and pressed a thin hand upon the door. Her palm slipped down the rough wood before her painted nails curled about the iron handle of the heavy gate door. With surprising ease, she managed the door open just enough to allow herself to slip past.

In the shadows she stepped, followed by that same melodic sound. As she stepped out into the familiar stretch of land, her eyes traced over the silhouette of the well, the campfire. At this, a flame touches her eyes and a particular, rugged face appeared in her mind. Softly, it was spoken, as Amrynn mumbled the words thoughtfully. "Perhaps it's time to reacquaint myself with old friends... Friends and charmers alike." Without another sound, the elfess continues her way to the all too familiar campsite, soon easing herself onto the log she had sat upon so many times before. As she did so, one hope touched upon her heart. Perhaps her old charmer still visited this same place... Perhaps...
