Everyone go to http://www.mpogd.com and vote, from what I have seen its best way for the game to get new players and help the game grow! You can vote once per a day.
Also you can signup their & give a review to help as well but voting dose not need a signup
I think MPOGD is actually how I found Illarion, hehe. I combed through all kinds of pages in hopes that I could find a roleplay-enforced game with semi-decent graphics. The MUDs just weren't doing it for me. I bet we could hit top 5~ pretty easily if everyone voted. But I hear a lot of people complaining against newcomers being nothing but powergamers. I'd imagine that the vast amount of people checking MPOGD have no interest in roleplaying. <shrug>
I found Illarion because I was searching for a game like Tibia but with roleplaying... Google caught the link to Tibia on the old website and voilá! Even though it took me some months to join because I was scared off by the crappy homepage back then.
Many people read reviews and comments about games. You can post your comment about Illarion at mopgd.com: But as a hint, don't go like "10 everything, perfect game, uber, join!", this kind of review is null and void.

A year ago, the another online game I play tried to reach a significant rank there. But as it turned out people used voting bots to bring their game to the #1 position. The site operators did nothing to discourage that. It ended as a bot race with ridiculous number above 10000 votes.
So if you are determined to win, run a few fast bots.
But your fair vote will simply be lost in the fray.
Oh oh, I found this game when looking for wyvern client. I had thought it was the same game at first because of the strict name rules. It was on some random 200 top mmorpgs list.
I found Illarion cause I was searching a ww2 MMOAG (thats how they should call games now, theres hardly any roleplay in them. MMOAG = Massivly Multiplayer Online Adventure Games.) that encouraged group tactics...and somehow I found Illarion, and shortly after I found Call of Combat
