The Stonewood Fellowship - A new guild arises!

Post by Mishrack »

Another day sets on Trollsbane, but this one is special.
In the last few hours of sunlight, a guild formed.
A guild for the small people of Illarion.
Dwarves and Halflings alike, growing prosperous together.

So far members count:

Albernon, King and co-founder
Mishrack, Royal advisor and co-founder
Vindigan, Member
Wolfskhel, Member

A website is being worked on, and will be up soon.

Applications to join, should be posted here, as well as any ideas and such.

We will succeed where others failed!

The Stonewood Fellowship

Post by Albernon »

Greetings to ye all friends of Troll's Bane!
Many of ye are unfamiliar with me so let me tell ye a little bout me self.
I'm and old dwarf with a long beard, and quite aged. I spend most of my time reading books and have been watching our fair town for a quite a while now, and hope to guide my new guild to prosperity with as much of the accumulated wisdom and knowledge as I can, as the King of the Stonewood Fellowship for now.
I also love to go fishing, although I'm not that good at it as I wished ;)

Since the fall of the dwarven clan Ironhammer long ago, there have been few attempts at a new dwarven guild (Most had not very active members or had a base of german players, with only a german website, making it difficult for the english speaking players to feel involved. This guild will be based on the english speaker players of Illarion, although we will still accept any german speaking players as well, as long as they know some english). With this new guild, we hope to bring together a community of people, similar to the Elven Community, and we hope to mold this guild in some similar structures to the former Ironhammer, although this guild is for both dwarves and halflings. The Stonewood Fellowship will also have Irmorom as their main god for now. Titles for every member and our home will be coming soon, so keep watching for the soon to come webiste :)

Good day to ye all, and may Irmorom bless you on your ways

Dear drag, I'm sorry to say that you are not exactly the type of person we are looking for to join the Stonewood Fellowship. The reasons are the following:

-your improper name is not the right impression we want for our members to give

-your literary and spelling skills seems usually low and careless

-the talking of your two characters interchangeably show poor roleplaying

For though you may be a good person, I'm sorry to say you have a bad image that we don't want for the Stonewood Fellowship, so your application has been denied.

one, if you ahve noticed, my more recent postings have hadmost no errors. two, drag is just a name,  proper or not, and it can always be changed. three, most people do have more than one charector. Iqloo is also biased. deats is also harold of lumbard. i jsut made a new charector because a mage cannot druid. i want to be able to druid. it seems like fun. i realy dont understand how i dont roleplay. i would like you to explain that one to me. you aslo have never even meet me online, so how would you know if i roleplay or not?

1. Almost no errors, but still a lot compared to normal people, and MOST of your postings are filed with error. We want people who sound mature enough, and bad spelling doesn't help.

2. A name is very important because of its affect on the atmoshpere of roleplaying.

3. I never said you can't have more than one character, but when you talk about them like they are both the same person just because you play both characters, it shows bad roleplaying. Your talking about your other orc character turned this discussion into ooc instead of ic.

The fact that you don't understand what I said in 2 and 3 show that you have a low reading level or don't understand roleplaying. The fact that you reavealed Iqloo, deats and other people's alternate characters also shows you don't understand what is good roleplay.

*humbly asks for permission to talk*

((Drag, if you don´t understand that characters must be kept separate and wishes to tell everyone who they are is not good but it´s your problem, but revealing other people´s character is a much worse offense because they could be trying to do things right and by telling others their character it makes harder for most beginner roleplayers to remember the differences... believe me, I know what I am talking about... I particularly don´t like to know others characters because I get confused sometimes. Please understand that a soul cannot be on two different bodies.))

Albernon, I don´t know you yet but I would love to meet you sometime.
Mishrack, my friend! I am very happy to know that you are doing this! I just wanted you to know that if you need anything you can always count on me...

i said that my mroe recent posts have had almost no errors. i have improved compared to what i was doing. i think that you would argree. so that is being worked on. your numbers 2 and 3 say nothing about roleplaying, and if your so convinced im a dumbshit, jsut put it plain out how i dont roleplay. just say' drag, you dont roleplay becuase of this this and that'. i can always change the first letter of my name to a capital. that is no big problem, just needs an e-mail.
i am sorry for insulting people, and for deats, i know him in person, and all he does is kill skells. i do wish to make things right, and to give you no more reason to complain about me.

drag

ps: i dont see any spelling mistakes or abbreveations on this post

Like I said drag, then you either have a reading problem or you don't know what roleplaying is, because I already explained plain out why your roleplay is bad. If you don't understand why your bad name and mixing character is bad for roleplay, then you obviously don't know what good rolepaying is. I've explained it here, and the people on the Main Board explained this to you like a hundred times, but you still just don't get it.

No spelling mistakes in your last post? mroe? jsut? These are spelled right? Perhaps you do have a reading problem after all.

If you're so not convinced that you're wrong, that's your business, but just leave our guild alone.

There are 6 spelling mistakes in your post drag. You abbreviated skells. "I" as in you as a person must also be capiltilized. Also words at the beggining of sentences must be capiltilized
as well. Drag, you don't roleplay because you mix characters.

@drag:
I don't think that they need to tell you any further about why you're denied.  It's their guild, and they have the right to not let you in, no questions asked.  They were nice to you and explained why, so settle with that, no amount of "I have improved"'s are going to get you in.  No amount of excuses for mixing characters either.

I, Serpardum, of Stonehaven, would be interested in joining this guild with the understanding,
I believe in no gawds, so I would not, ever, worship or acknowledge Irmorom.

I was a common miner in Stonehaven and was quite content to live out my life there.  My mother, however, was insistant that I marry the dwarf Teildenmor, if dwarf she could indeed be called, for she stood a staggering 175cm tall.  As much as I could protest, my mother was insistant, and as was the custom in our clan, we could not gainsay our parents.  So I did the only thing I could under the circumstances, I stole out of the mountain while all were sleeping and ran for my life!

With the few gems I had on me I bought passage on a vessel to the north to seek my fortune, but a storm arose in the night and I woke up on the beach of the island where Trolls Bane resides.  One place to hide is good as any other, I would suppose, so I have made to make my way in life here.

At a young age I learned runes to be a great mage, perhaps the greatest of them all!  Only then did I find that I lacked any skill whatsoever in casting spells, and so the peaceful life of the druid was also denied me, what a wasted youth!  But I am content to make which things I can with my hands and hammer.

By trade I am mostly a blacksmith, but I do make the occasional glass bottle to sell to druids.  I also learn a bit of other crafts to see what secrets they hold.  All in all, I would say it was a content life.

Greetings Serpardum and Brendan Mason.
We are honoured that you show interest in us, but for now we cannot accept members just yet, we are still working hard setting up the guild, and we think the main lines should be hammered out before we involve other people in it.

((I am working as fast as I can on the site, but having qiute a lot of trouble with Photo shop and up load speeds... If anyone has some nice grafix or ideas for the site, feel free to post them here))

I hope we can be up and running soon, and I hope you will not take ill of this short waiting time.

yours truly

Due to new responsibilities, I feel I must remove myself from the Stonewood Fellowship. This has nothing to do with the Fellowship itself, and it is a good guild I think, but other duties call to me.

We need an honest leader to replace you...
