A few suggestion to make cows work a bit better...
Tying posts
Currently if you happen to have a cow and you decide to pop into a building, it'll wait outside and become stealable, especially if you're going to take your time.
The suggestion is for a new object (static, can be bought by towns), which allows you to tie a cow to it, and it'll wait outside for you, the range which you can stay in it greatly increased. (So for example you tie it outside eliza's shop, and you can stay in there for as long as you like without worrying about the cow)
Improvised tying posts
Using a rope (it exists, the lizard in front of the inn sells them), you may tie a cow to a tree, and it'll work similar to the typing posts explained above.
Get out of the way
I was tying to walk into a building, and obviously the cow can't follow you in, so it stops outside the door, blocking the way out (although you can PUSH yourself to get out). There should be a way to move the cows... (Dragging them or attacking them? [attacking = giving it a quick slap or something]
Depots and cows
Cows use the same area as depots when you open them. So if you're planning on transferring from cow to depot (or depot to cow) you either drag things into your belt, and then into the depot (then close the depot and open the cow again), or you risk dropping them on the floor and dragging them into the depot from there. This is irritating and time consuming.
Could it open in the 'bag' area (at your choice?)
Wait
Currently the only way to make a cow stay in the same place is with the 'stay' command which also creates a depot. Its bad enough that you have 2 squares of unmovable cow, and a depot will create 3 squares. Could there be a way to make it wait without creating a depot?
