Treasure

Post by Gabon Corad »

Gabon heads to get a beer. His problems have not seemed to lighten even though Zub is now dead. Gabon pulls a message from his belt. The message is titled Red Skull in orcish runes. Gabon knows it was written by Kurga. He has not opened it in fear of what it might reveal. Gabon orders a beer from the bar tender and sits in a dark corner of the tavern, property of those who were his enemy only a few days ago. Gabon brings the beer to his lips and gulps till half the mug is gone. He sets the mug down and looks at the message brought to him by falcon. He slowly opens the note, reading it slowly making sure he misses nothing. the note reads
Gabon, Red Skull of the Bloodskulls
should you be receiving this note i am already dead. You are the only one i truly trust brother. You are stronger than me yet you fight by my side instead against me for the chief position, honor. This message is not only a good bye but it is a map. A map to the riches of the Skulls. I knew with the war against the dwarves that there was a good chance i could fall in battle, so i wrote this letter. The treasure of the skulls lies just north of the mummy cave. take 5 paces north and 23 paces west. Move the rock and you will find a key. The key is to the treasure. The treasure lies just south of the goblins. Take 15 paces south from where the door of the castle starts and 3 paces to the east. Dig down 6 feet and out 12 feet. You will find a key hole, place the key there and say this "Skulls will prevail!" turning the key at the same time. That will release the magic guarding it and allow you to open the door. Do not be followed. Be ready for many trips there and back.

to my mentor and great friend and brother may the gods guide you,
Kurga Wolfbane
Past Warrior Chiefess of the Bloodskulls

Gabon closes the note and shoves it into his chest armor. A single tear drops from under his helmet. Gabon stands, grabs his beer and down the rest of it. He lays the glass on the bar and walks out of the tavern disappearing into the darkness. He heads to the north.
