Admin and Mod
I am trying to be mean or anything. Both Admins and Mods do a great job. But the only problem they do is doing too great of a job. I am sorry but you lock things too early. I was drowning all my time, few months ago, in the forums and like a billion times I see something really interesting and want to post and I see the lock sign. Just look at the general forum and all the pages in it. Tell me how many locks you see. Again you guys do a great job but can you please lessen the locks? One more thing most locks come with this message," I think this topic served its purpose." Lets say there is a topic called x and it discusses matters on x. In x lets say they think of another things called y. Now they start to discuss back and forth between y and x and staff locks it. People who still have problems with y will start a new topic. I am not saying thats wrong but lets say that y would have been solved with maybe a few more posts. Then the new topic would be a waste junking up room. Plus..... maybe in off topic locking will help get rid of it. But in General everything stays in the pages for a long long long time! So if things go to y instead of staying in x give it a few days to see if y will solve itself and then lock or again the forum will become humongous and its really, really annoying to some users of the forum, like me.
Sincerely,
-Swish

The mods don't say "stay on topic" for no apparent reason.
Make a thread to discuss x.
Make a thread to discuss y.
I fail to see why this is a problem. When discussions involve proposals and such things that concern "the staff" to which they are referred now they can easily get to the x without all the y in the way. They would read topic y if they wanted to.

Don't encourage Swish to make new topicsGro'bul wrote:The mods don't say "stay on topic" for no apparent reason.

Too many people quickly fall into immature habits here, so sadly it won't work. Many also just start shouting about something or someone (or call other people liars) without really checking all information on the related topics. We definitely need our board mods and admins, and they're doing a good job i think.
