Neue Regeln ~ New Rules

The set of rules of Illarion got modified and reworked within the last days.
The discussions about this came to an end and the new rules are published now. You can read them on the homepage.

Rules of Illarion

Every player should read the rules once again and think about them. Furthermore you should think about, if you broke that rules or not.

Its possible that there are some additions or changeings of the rules within the next days. If there are questions about the rules, its possible to put them in here. The staff members will try to solve that points as good as possible.

Its no excuse if you break the rules, if you don't know the changings. And everyone should keep in mind, that a player who is deeply involved into the roleplay and does really good roleplay, is not allowed to play with his own rules. Those players get treated like everyone else.

Using capitalized letters to stress something (e.g. "IT'S MY TURN NOW!") is not allowed.
Not allowed? why?

Because its disturbing ingame and not needed. If you write something in Capital Letters you say it loudly. For this use we have the shouting function. So if you would write in capital letters you can use the shouting function.

There's a difference between raising one's voice and shouting.

I mean.. can i do this?

"I meant what about YOU not about ME"

for example? or is that not allowed as well?

Added: PS - the lynk after this:
Exploitation of bugs or technical limits (i.e. intentional server crashing, multiplying of items, using the technical shadow of a building to flee, ...) is stricly forbidden. As soon as you find a bug, you must report it with a detailed description at the Flyspray Bugtracker or to report the bug with the contact formular.
Is broken

Because i do it all the tyme... i don't see it as shouting, i see it as stressing a particular word...

I never saw anything 'bad' about it. myself...

And? Have you been banned or warned till now because of that?
Why are you freaking out for nothing at all?

hrm, adrian is right, i think.. writing a capitalised word, doesn't mean necesarely shouting it.. It also mean accentuating it. :)

I am very upset with this:
# Deletion of all current characters and all future characters (permanent ban)
# Deletion of the account
Surely this is practically the same thing?

I think what is forbidden about this is something like

Ssafar : YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT I TRY TO TELL YOU, YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND.

I guess

Why do i get the feeling that you read that rules the first time? That lines are there since many years. I only forgot to update them. Done now.

There are rules?;)
Why is this?: Overplayed violence (tortures, mutilations, executions) are not allowed if it's not agreed by all participating players.

by Keikan Hiru
Because these actions often contain a lot of "Forced Roleplay".

And excutions end (generally) with the ultimate death of the character, something that cannot be achived if the player does not want this to happen.

Well it basicly means that lets say you have a man tied up to a wall, you cannot go up to him and start carving patterns into him with a dagger, just because he cannot move. You still have to make sure he is ok with it.

God i love doing that to people..

Don't lie to him have there been any people that did not come back after being executed?

He could get resurected, and its hardly forced rp to torture a person tied to a chear for example.

by Lrmy
Yes it is....

Forced role play to torture a person tied to a chair.

If you execute a character, you allways need the permission of the player. Some see that their character has no way to get out, and let him die. But some others want to keep their character and you are not allowed to take their characters away by forced RP.

Many get alive again by random rituals. I really don't like this way. But in general dead characters get banned (if the gms know it) and so they have to ask, if the character is allowed to return or not.

I always think of "Forced RP" as being roleplay done to another character -without the player's permission- that could have lasting effects on that character.

Torture, being mentally and physically scarring, falls under that definition ;)
