His brother, not his bane.

Post by Theodosia*Celest »

-Continued from Calisto's background story-

Filgaz, the old wizard, spent only a few split seconds watching the small boat drift away from the shore before he turned his attention back to Balgiz. The moments after the sound of thunder rang out through the air were almost like slow motion to him. The powers that he possessed flowed through his body as he called upon it. Taking a defensive, Filgaz shoots a decent sized ball of hot flames towards the intruder which is broken up into smoke as Balgiz puts it out with a small moist cloud.

“It’s no use trying, Balgiz. She is protected from you and all others who possess the powers we do. Even I cannot get to her now.” He smirks though sadness and concern is quite visible in his eyes.

“You must think yourself clever, Filgaz, to have come up with a way to keep her from me. But of course you know…I will have her one way or another. I will track her down.” The smile which almost seems to ripple into a larger and more cunning grin is spread across his face from ear to ear.

“You may find yourself sadly mistaken.” Still in his defensive stance, the old wizard creates a swirling mass of sand which is lifted from the ground in front of him. Small rocks and shells are mixed in and seem to cut through the massed sand like razorblades. Carrying the sand in the air he begins to run straight at Filgaz the dangerous mass following close behind.

Filgaz stops abruptly.

The sand however maneuvers around his body and straight at Balgiz with a great force. Though his enemy separates the attack into two halves, various bits of sand and a few rocks still make their way through, striking him and leaving small marks upon his face. In return he continues to manipulate the wind and a vehement gust is brought forth against Filgaz, causing him to fall back a few feet from where he stood. The old wizard hits his head on a small rock as contact with the ground it made and the world which he now was seeing vanishes from sight.
